who is the best african to have graced the premiership?

some prety good one's drogba, essien etc.

but who is the best, and don't say gyan, sess or the other one, and i don't mean elmo.

"They"? Africa is the second most populated continent on Earth. That's like asking what influence players from the whole of Europe have had (including the UK).

Just a bizarre thing to ask that's all. It's hardly a select group is it. There's about a billion people and goddamn loads of footballers from the African continent.

Country specific would be a bit more interesting, like who's the best player from Ivory Coast.

    thought i was being specific,

there's hardly been thousands of africans in the prem.

so it is kinda select group, so if your on our board to piss me off go ahead,

but to anyone else who didn't seem to understand the thread,

your favorite or best african to have graced the prem. seems fairly simple to me

Stop having a hissy fit you plum. I was just making the point that it's an odd question. You may as well ask who the best player is in Europe, or what influence Europeans have at SAFC.

It's impossible to do it anyway. A continent has such a massive number of different players in different positions. You'd be comparing strikers to defenders and so on, so who can say who is the 'best'?

The point is, which you missed at the start, is that the question WAS specific. WHO IS THE BEST AFRICAN PLAYER TO HAVE GRACED THE PREMIERSHIP?

Just f*cking pick one and shut up because your stupidity is boring...just say a name and be gone.

    Stop yer whinging man christ.

And I can't say a name I just told you. How do you choose the 'best' African player when there are bloody loads of them in every position imaginable. Try answering who the 'best' player is in Europe. Difficult, isn't it?

Now I notice that Cummachio sneakily mentioned 'favourite' in one of his later posts, which is something a bit more answerable. For me, naturally, it's Tiote.
