Bournemouth have just signed him from Wolves, how good is he ? a gamble do you reckon for about £10m.

    Out of our price range.

We can't compete with the likes of Bournemouth.

    10m <laugh>

People on here would be ripping their hair out, if we were to pay that much for him!

I'd be concerned about paying that for a player who's scored a few in the Championship.

For every one that's been ok there are about 25 that haven't made it.

He looks a cracking young player to me. He's represented England at every level and he scored about 20 odd goals last season.
Hes not worth anywhere near 10m at the moment, but hes certainly got the potential to. Hes still only 22.

Dont know what it is about the Bournemouth manager, but he does not look like a man who will make many mistakes, I am watching his progress with great interest, and not a little anxiety tbh.

He's perfect for Bournemouth and Bournemouth is perfect for him. It's just one of them situations. He has already took another job away from Bournemouth, and failed...

Looks like Bournemouth have put all their eggs into 1 basket. A Championship basket.

It's bollocks mate. We were after Bony, wouldn't pay £10, went to Swansea then sold for £30m two years later. P.E.A. we wouldn't pay £15m, now going for £40m. Don't pay slightly over the odds and you're ****ed.

Don't agree with that one bit. Have you seen how much Leicester's team cost? Very little...

We paid over the odds for Fletcher, Wickham, Rodwell and we are ****ed.

Also, Afobe should never be compared to Bony.

So... Represented England at every level except senior... Just like Connor Wickham... Still 22... Older than Connor Wickham... Scored well in the championship... Just like... Guess who!!

And he's more than we sold Wickham for? No thanks!! (Not a dig at you tees just using your comment to make a point!)

I'd like to know how this ffp works?how can Bournemouth afford a £10m player when they can only get 12000 in their ground? It's not like they're silly expensive to watch either! IMO it should be points deduction for failing the ffp not just a small fine!

It's not a preemptive action fella. They make the losses, following year they submit accounts then they're punished further down the line. Won't happen anyway. It's about to be scrapped because it's a big bag of unworkable bollocks. Mastermind by our own Ellis too.

The UEFA ffp looks like it's going to be scrapped too.

Probably because he knows he's not willing to spend what other clubs are and knows we won't be able to keep up. You can visibly see other teams now pulling away from us when it comes to signings. Whether we are right or wrong with Alvarez and Kone, it doesn't put us in a good light. The same with the amount of failed medicals we seem to have on players who don't seem to have any real injury problems before and after the medical with us, yet we pass the crocks. The club looks so unprofessional, if not a bit shady, IMO.

Went off on a tangent there, anyways, sack the board :emoticon-0173-middl

Yep. I think he'd sell too if he gets his money back. Here's to hoping.

Why? Is there some reason those teams shouldn't be better than us. Boards on self pity when you consider we deserve to be where we are and they deserve to be where they are. I'd simply say it's just.

Good to see money being spent domestically though.
