I wonder if, by looking down the leagues Mike is giving himself an option for when we get relegated?
This lad looks good.. but yet again it's potential we are buying.
We need a few experienced leaders.
What about getting Nolan back on a pay as you play deal?
He's shake up the dressing room.

Newcastle are pondering a January move for Championship hot-shot Benik Afobe, according to reports from ESPN.
The Magpies currently sit rock-bottom of the Premier League after eight games, with no wins to their name and the worst goal difference in the division.
Steve McClaren’s side have struggled despite spending big to land high-profile players such as Aleksandar Mitrovic and Florian Thauvin, yet it seems owner Mike Ashley is ready to put his hand in his pocket once again this winter in a bid to save the club’s season.

Reports claim that the North East outfit are looking at former Arsenal man Afobe, who has been a hit in the Football League.
Currently playing for Wolves, the 22-year-old smashed a stunning 32 goals – 13 for the Championship side and a further 19 in League One with MK Dons – last term, and has already hit five in ten second tier matches this season.
Afobe is seen as a wise signing by Newcastle’s hierarchy, with his potential sell-on value appealing.

Players who score lots of goals in lower leagues always score lots in the Premiership too. That's a thing right? That always happens doesn't it?

Groundhog day yet again, the transfer policy has brought the team to this point and is manifestly a failure, it needs to be changed and some balance brought in with some players who have experience and will form the nucleus of the team and can help mould the younger players. Can't see the blinkers coming off though as they are too deep in the bunker to change, there is a lack of football knowledge at the top of the management structure and I don't see McClaren as a strong enough character to challenge the corporate structure and drive any change, Pardew didn't just go because it was Palace, he could see that they weren't going to change the operating methods and he had enough of being the whipping boy when he couldn't do anything about it.

Pretty much. The fat one needs to change his transfer policy drastically. We aren't in a position to hope players will adapt and play well. We need PL proven at the moment.

It's too much dross! I'd fancy Oxford United to give us a bloody game at the moment.

They are looking for Perez's replacement as no doubt the fat one will not turn down Man U, unless it's a silly offer.
