Can't put links or images in as can't work out how to do it off my phone. But, some nice matches in the round robin group stages.
Going; Louza - Morocco Masina - Morocco TE - Nigeria Dennis - Nigeria Okoye - Nigeria (He'll be our keeper from Jan 1st) Not going, but not 100% on Sarr, was he called up? Etebo - Nigeria - Injured Sarr - Senegal - injuried Shame.for them.
I think it is bad news for us really... as our squad is so lightweight with little strength except in attack.... Dennis and Sarr if he goes... irreplaceable.... So we need a couple of very good quality defenders to come in and be up and running.....
Seems to be mixed messages on this one. Some say he didn’t want to go and just be a sub but Ranieri suggests he did like to join up but is also happy to help the club .
I am not sure if I am happy with this situation If Dennis is happy to stay with us then great, if however he would have been proud to get the chance to play for his country then it might backfire on us, I hope his head is clear and focused for the next few games
The club seem to have done everything by the book over Sarr. Ismaïla Sarr suffered a knee ligament injury on November 20 in the match against Manchester United and has not been fit to play for Watford FC since that date. In early December, the Club wrote to the Senegal Football Federation outlining the clinical diagnosis of Ismaïla's injury and immediately followed that up by supplying the MRI scans detailing the extent of the injury. After further consultation with medical experts, we informed the Federation of Ismaïla's rehabilitation process and likely timeframe of recovery. Within the past 10 days, the Club has reiterated to the Senegal Football Federation the player's current medical status and recovery schedule. The Hornets have have also invited the Senegal Football Federation to instruct their own independent surgeon to confirm the diagnosis and rehabilitation period.
I see the Nigerian FF may have shot themselves in the foot by deciding against guaranteeing Dennis starts - Odion Igahlo has apparently pulled out, leaving them short of forwards. Karma...
Well I will be supporting Morocco as it is my/our holiday destination of choice - not that we have a choice just at the moment....
