    For fielding and inelligible player.

Have to laugh at how inconsistent the FA are. I wonder if the Mackems still think there is a conspiracy against them from the FA <laugh>

There should be a fixed penalty with no right of appeal.
If I were the dons I'd try to argue precedent has been set with the Mackems.

Different circumstances all together..Gi was on our books for a couple of years, and it was only his return from loan paperwork that caused the problem..

To be fair, Shola could be classed as ineligible to be a player, so best we keep quiet.

It was still illegal to play him though mate. As stated, their should be a fixed penalty.

It's like saying a dive inside the box should receive a heavier punishment than a dive outside the box. It's a yellow card offence no matter where it happens. Not saying you should have been deducted points, just that you and Wimbledon should have received the same punishment.

Either both docked points, or neither.

could it have been that Wimbeldon were unable to cross the FA's dirty palms with silver, so had to pay the price with a points deduction

AFC Wimbledon should take them to court. Double standards as usual. Sunderland broke the rules irrespective of whether or not he was their player.

Does the FA have any jurisdiction on this or not?

It was the Premier League who decided to take no action against Sunderland, whereas it was the Football League who penalised Wimbledon.

Maybe it's two different football bodies that are applying the rules as they see fit.

Ah - It's because they are in different 'leagues'. The Football League handed out Wimbledon's so are not bound by Premier League precedent.

The Football League are normally s*** hot on misdemeanours of any kind.
Precedents had already been set in previous years for docking points with ineligible players.

Totally different circumstances and scenarios...It was only a paper that had not been sent off when he returned from being on loan for a player that had went through all the checks when he signed two years previous. Totally different to what Wimbledon done..

Neither player was eligible, the circumstances are irrelevant.

There have been other players that have played when not allowed to but haven't been docked points. The precedent has been set.

I think we sussed that for ourselves.

Simple fact is that all precedents for fielding ineligible players have been (a) points deduction and (b) fine, no matter what the competition.
The Premier League for some unknown and unaccountable reason have chosen to ignore normal practice. It begs the question why....

The Football League are employing double standards by penalising Wimbledon whilst ignoring that Sunderland used an ineligible player in one of their competitions (League Cup). The FL may not have jurisdiction over Sunderland over deducting points but, they should if nothing else be imposing a fine and let the PL get on with deducting points.

As well as the different scenarios, while Ji was on the pitch we scored ZERO goals, also we earned only 1 point from the 3 PL games he appeared in.

The premier league charged us as they saw fit and the football league charged Wimbledon as they saw fit, case closed as far as I'm concerned.
