This time the Hornets take the road down to the south coast. The Vitality Stadium, or as some of a certain age will know as Dean Court. It is the smallest ground in the English Premier League, with a capacity of only 11,460. It has had a whole series of names, Goldsands Stadium, Seward Stadium, Fitness First Stadium. The ground was built in an old gravel pit, but with such a small ground there are plans in hand to build a larger stadium close to the current home. After the first matches last weekend there has been fan reaction. Bournemouth fans were not impressed with their loss at WBA when the only attempt on goal came from Nathan Ake in the closing minutes of the game. Watford fans have generally been satisfied with the 3-3 draw against Liverpool. In an entertaining game Watford came back to score a last minute goal that has provided hours of comment about the offside law. Early injuries didn't help to judge just how well the players are being welded into a team. please log in to view this image Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media to discuss the upcoming game this weekend against Bournemouth, Marco Silva confirmed that there was a long way to go when it came to everybody getting on the same page and striking up partnerships, but he was very confident in the group he's assembled so far and he felt fans had seen early signs of that against Liverpool given some of our play. 'Of course we want more but it was good for a first match. We've talked already about things we can improve. It was a tough game, a good game and we achieved a good result. We played to win against a very good team. In three or four weeks we will see more easily my ideas. I am clear in my mind what I want from this team and we are working on that every day. We started to do this on Saturday and it was clear we tried to win the match. We will do this against every team and we will do all we can to win the match.' Our officials for this game: Referee: Roger East Assistant Refs: M Scholes and S Massey-Ellis Fourth Official: C Kavanagh Match Day referee East has officiated one game in 2017/18, showing three yellow cards. There is no team news at present as both teams are waiting to see how some of the walking wounded will have responded to some days on the training pitch. Usual draw? Gomes generally seems to play well against them.. Guess Janmaat and Pereya plus Kaboul are out so Femenia, Prodl and Richarlison/Gray to come in?
Both games last season finished 2-2, and a similar score would keep us above them. There is some talk down there of them playing Defoe as part of a twin attack, but player news is hard to come by at present.
As soon as I say there is little news about players I come across this. http://www.hertfordshiremercury.co....-three-games/story-30486635-detail/story.html
For sure we will see a bit more of the squad. Luckily with the cup and the International break we have a bit more time to get the big guns back without too much damage. I'd just love another point. Lawro has us down as a 2-1 defeat but that maybe just a return to service as usual . Well OFH you didn't have much to work with but still created an interesting good read up top so tx for that
Last time we played Bournemouth with a Wiltshire based referee we got stitched up good and proper and he did it again against Sheffield Wednesday..
Roger East doesn't do well for us ...i don't like him! This is always a weird one, strange reffing decisions often ruin this fixture but i'm looking forward to some attacking football and a good game with a 1-3 win . COYH!!!
Don't say that!! Wasn't Kabasele's last game against Bournemouth - when he went down with cramp & they scored?
