He gave us all a cracking day yesterday, but I'd be a lot happier if managers would just shut the **** up and not make predictions.
I like his positivity but we know our team. There will be a few more twists n turns before were certain.
You can tell he's managed big sides and big occasions, he seems so composed it's unreal. His interviews from yesterday have really changed my opinion of the guy. I think I like him....
He shows that degree of maturity in his interviews that were lacking in our last 2 managers. Just what we need right now, a steady hand on the tiller!
You can tell he's got 'it' the way he spoke about Defoe, no arse licking like Poyet was with him. He seems comfortable and not fazed by anything. Liking his tactics of getting the ball to the forwards much quicker as well, we were able to get our full backs high up the pitch yesterday because of this, which gave us an added attacking dimension going forward
I like the ****er, be happy for him to stay, and bring us a couple more Dutch lads. Sneider & Veltman would be a nice start...
I like the way he has his front three playing close together, two big strong lads and natural finisher, suddenly our strike force looks much better just by tinkering. I like him. Maybe 1 year rolling contracts would suit both us and his missus.
Don't think Ellis wants him long term! Think short us after a younger model personally. But I like what I've seen if advocaat so far. But I saud that about Poyet and Di Canio after three weeks as well!!!!
Could try to keep him on a retainer to advise whoever comes in, especially if they are not experienced ( Clement? ) - bit like Boro did with El Tel and Robbo
The big difference being he is a mature manager with a long pedigree in the game at all levels so he has nothing to prove to anybody so he tells how it is and does not need modern terms to get his point across. To paraphrase what he said "we knew we had to win so don't give a **** how it happened".
