As a regular reader of these pages and very occasional contributor I wonder if I may be bold enough to seek guidance....Given transfer talk is hotting up will it be necessary to have my socks in situ in readiness for that long awaited often promised moment? Or, as I suspect, we will be scraping close to the bottom of a barrel ? I dream of a sock incendiary. Many thanks.
This refers to the now infamous "we have a signing that will blow your socks off" remark from the old Brown/Duffen/Bartlett regime. Believe me, there will be no such signings by the current Hull City Management. Your socks are as safe as my Didgeridoo mate.
It depends how easily you socks are blown off, I haven't given up on the odd big surprise, though I do think it's dependant on shifting Jimmy and Oli.
It does worry me that with all this warm weather and me being off until September that we're going to make one of those big signings while I'm not wearing socks? What happens in that situation?
