Coming up on Saturday and would like to visit a bit of the area whilst we're there - make a weekend of it. Is there a decent sized nice old market town with a bit of countryside around and a bit of history attached any of you would recommend staying in? Or is Nottingham a nice city to wander around in on a Saturday night and find something to eat?

Hey Ziggy, if you like a bit of history and a beer at the same time, look up Ye olde Trip to Jerusalem. It's a pub situated in the Castle walls in the centre of good olde Nottingham thats been there for a very long time- and brews it's own grog. Give it a try. 20 mins walk from the county ground <ok>
