Mo Eisa’s Bristol City nightmare should convince midfielder to make Reading switch. Prolific League Two midfielder Reece Brown is reportedly a target for both Bristol City and Reading this summer, but we think he should choose the latter. The Robins are reportedly among a couple of Championship clubs chasing the signature of the talented midfielder, who has impressed for their south-west neighbours Forest Green Rovers. Despite this though, it would be better for his development if he were to join Reading. The Royals are still scrapping for survival in the Championship under Jose Gomes, but you would fancy them to stay up from here, due to a couple of recent good results, as well as the form of the likes of Yakou Meite and Andy Rinomhota. Whether they were to stay up or go down, Reece Brown would certainly feature more for the Madejski Stadium club than at play-off chasing Bristol City. The precedent we are using for our opinion is Mo Eisa, who has struggled enormously at Bristol City since his move from Cheltenham Town last summer. He has managed a meagre number of appearances in the Championship for Lee Johnson’s men this season, racking up an embarrassing number of minutes. Last season, he managed 23 goals in 45 appearances for Cheltenham, as well as seven assists, which made him third in the final standings for League Two’s top scorer, behind Coventry’s Marc McNulty and Accrington’s Billy Kee. Brown’s stats aren’t too shabby this season either, netting double figures for Forest Green, and making a highly impressive number assists. The Birmingham City graduate is now 23, so the move back to the second tier is probably timely, but the Mo Eisa example should put him off Bristol City. At Reading, he could feature in the midfield three, which is currently occupied by Rinomhota, Lewis Baker and Ovie Ejaria. Even if Reading were to go down, a move there would be wise, as he would feature regularly in League One. guess reading might be boosting this! Of course we all know of MO'S PLIGHT …… and should have been given a lot more game time maybe last 4 games he will get a go?
Ellisson had to wait a year - and now he is doing a very useful job for us. It’s a massive step up from L2 to the Championship - very few have made that 2-div leap transition seamlessly. Dele Alli is the only one I can think of - possibly Vardy ???
