http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/story-19179649-detail/story.html#axzz2VF5VlJDR Apparently, Cardiff City would be willing to bid £2M for Adomah. Frankly, I'd snap their arm off for that cash. There's no footballer alive that would turn down Premier League football to be loyal to a League 1 team, and Adomah will want to play somewhere where he'll be recognised by the Ghana scouts. Apparently Holloway is a fan too, so it might be worth offering him at that price to Crystal Palace in order to see if we can get more money out of the franchise.
Now I would. 2 Million would be good business now and we would need the money to fund for new signings. Plus we would get to see if he could hack it in the prem.
1.5 to 2 M is about right but with aparently 5 or 6 clubs interested could be a bit more the same might happen with Greg Cunningham Cardiff were interested last year when they were heading towards the Prem might they still be who knows?
Let's hope both Cardiff and Palace are interested enough to want Albert and bid it out. 2-2.5 million would be nice, I'd be surprised if we got more even with 2 or more clubs fighting for his signature.
Apparently Norwich and Derby are also interested in making bids Derby have supposedly made an opening offer of £1.25M and either Cardiff or Norwich have offered £1M
Would finally be a good piece of business for us and allow the constraints to be eased on bringing in new blood. Let's be honest and say that Albert has no reason to stay as it is perfectly clear that he believes he is better than League One and he is probably right. I can see no reason for wanting him to stay because somewhere down the line the issue of him leaving will reappear and create disharmony in the squad. Time to move on Albert and the best of luck.
I think every City fan has accepted that Albert has ambitions to play in the Prem and will be leaving this summer, whether to a newly promoted/lower Prem club or one of the top 5-6 Championship clubs. I thank him for his service, wish him well, and hope that whatever we get for him is wisely used to strengthen the squad where we know it needs strengthening.
Albert wants like most players to play in the Premiership and he could well have his chance this year and good luck to him if he can get there, He could well improve with better players around him in fact he would have to improve his final product to get much playing time in the Prem. If/when he goes I hope he does well for himself and enjoys his time he has been good at City and didn't moan when he wasn't first choice when S O'D took over nd was happy to try and adapt to new ways of playing. So it'll be a case of Goodbye and thanks for all the fish Albert when he leaves.
I said a while back that a bidding war would mean that we would get much more than £1m, Albert is in demand... I think it would be good for all parties, Albert could leave and remain a fans favourite at AG and we would benefit making it a WIN, WIN. Win..!
Now we're two leagues apart Cardiff are no longer our concern. If Cardiff City offer £2M I'm more than happy to see Lansdown go back to Burnley/Swansea and others to see if they'll match the price or better it.
