Yeah great choice, if you want to play absolutely zero part in qualification but fancy the jolly of playing in a world cup (bit like Jamie Carragher, eh?)

What has Januzaj done to justify playing in this world cup? Nothing, that's what.

Other than that, good choice long term as his home country isn't likely to get to many championship finals and England are a shambles who should be avoid at any cost.

Belgium is his home country. His parents a from Kosovo and Albania, but I think he was always going to play for Belgium. I did enjoy the whole fuss about how he could eventually play for England though. You guys that desperate for young talent? :biggrim:

He wont be first choice but he is easily good enough to get in there squad. Though he is better then that de bruyne player.

He probably knew he wouldn't get a look in if he chose England in the long run. Especially with Sterling about <whistle>

Saying that I very much doubt he'll get a look in for Belgium, and no way on earth does he deserve to go to Brazil this summer. Maybe in 4 years time he'll be on the Belgium bench....

Good on him. The best players should play on the international stage.

Really looking forward to Belgium in Euros2016. That will be a quality side and Januzaj will be a key figure in it. In his break through season he really has shown himself to be an amazing talent.

I don't think that the ******ed scouser entered his mind when he made his decision. What bullshit <ok>

I like many do not think he should be eligible to play for England good as he is.

Probably could he wouldn't be eligible to play until at least 2018...

Pretty much a non story anyway - he can still decide to play for Turkey, Serbia, Kosovo, England, Wales, *****lia, Mars or anywhere he wants until he actually gets selected by Belgium.

Still, credit to matth, it's been at least 24 hours since he last posted a complete non story <ok>

So your saying any player who impresses or arrives on the scene late shouldn't be allowed to go to the World Cup, just because they haven't played in qualification. That really is nonsense, Football is a tough game, and coaches have to be ruthless and select the best players available at the time. I'd say a coach wouldn't be doing there job properly if they stayed loyal to players just because they had helped them qualify:biggrin:

It would be a little unfair though.

Im sure januzaj would prefer to earn that right. If hes good enough he will go.
