For me it's a strange day. I went over to the Rangers board to give my thoughts, and was criticised by fans of both clubs for sitting on the fence. I'm now ripping into Rangers, Celtic, the SPL, and pretty much anything that has a tenuous connection to Scotland.

Cardiff should look at a few players in the rangers team there's a good 20 year old who can play on the wing or up front I think his name is John Fleck on loan to Blackpool!! Surely there's a few players we can get at a steal of a price??

I don't like this happening to any team (I even threw a few £ in the bucket for the Swans)

But Pompey, thats a killer, great fans and a great ground they don't deserve this.

    Chime up Pompey.

I hope HT is ok. I know she's a huge Rangers fan and this will be tough for her.

And I agree Rhondda - Pompey fans have had more than their fair share of being ripped off. Time for football to have an honest and critical look at itself.

Portsmouth look in a right mess.

Sometimes I think we maybe got lucky that our reckless spending under previous regimes didnt take us to the PL.

Would Ridsdale or Sam have used the money wisely or plunged us into a far worse position - who knows?

As for Rangers its the creditors I feel sorry for.

They were going to come 2nd and guess what they will still come 2nd.

And even if they come 3rd theres no money in Scottish football and in no time at all they will be winning Scottish titles and cups again as they only have one rival.

The likes of Leeds had to suffer misery and their assets sold off. They will probably never recover.

I don't think they will stay up. We don't know that they will be docked 10 points yet, it could be more. Remember Luton and Bournemouth. Even if it is only 10 points, will the players be up for the fight with no wages. The whole thing is a mess and as usual it is the genuine fans who get shafted.
Football finances and rules need a complete rethink. No business can continue paying out more than it earns. Rangers and Pompey could yet be the tip of the iceberg.

tiz the tip of the iceberg dude.....things are gonna go down hill from here on......lets be honest we all dream of our club having the so called 90million windfall that comes with top flight football....tbh i doubt there would be alot of money left if you went and try 2 compete in this league.......what a crock of **** init.....spend 2 win and go bust or just try and stay up and just...well try 2stay up really nowt more........coming back down could mean disaster for clubs who havnt got the fan base in a lower leagues.....why has it come 2this??

cardiff city is under the control of people who we cant do nowt about....same as most clubs out there........will they ever get bored of us????and leave us in ****????who knows????

one thing is for sure, the game doesnt need people like sam the scam does it <ok>......we didnt listen 2 his old clubs fans because he sold us a dream, and who could blame us for wanting more than what we had......but looking at the bigger picture im not sure more is better at all <ok>

how are the fans paying more and more whilst sky and other major sponsors chuck money left right and centre at the clubs, but yet we are still losing clubs 2 dept...............money is going missing from the game and people like harry rednapp are on the gravy train sucking as much as they can from it not caring whats left after they finish and retire.

As the players have not been paid they are free to walk away. The problem with this is they are no longer an asset of Pompey so of no saleable value to the club (administrators) ergo they'd be happy to see them walk away as they will free up funds. Not sure they have that many high value players to cover the debt either. I'm sure Jimmy Hill did not envisage this when he lobbied to end the maximum wage back in the late fifties. :)

how can a footballer earn more in a week than what i`ll earn in 10years.....makes me puke and lets be honest its not as if there are many great footballers out there at present 2 be worth repulsive wages.

all are on the gravy train and its us fans that are paying for it from our hard earned cash and even then we could be left with nothing no club at all <ok>
