Hail the words of Lord Nigel of Adkins ahead of the Reading game http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2488627,00.html
Just heard it on Player. Love the attention to detail. Chaplow made 70 high-intensity sprints during the West Ham game..thought it was 69 myself
More words from the mighty one, he speak, you listen: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15387077.stm
Great words from the great man! I find myself nodding in approval with everything he says. It may sound biased, but I honestly think he is up their with the best managers in England right now. Just hope we get to the Premiership with him before bigger clubs start knocking on the door for his services.
Great words from Jos as well: 'We must all follow our noses in the same direction.' Needs a bit of work but a good attempt at an Adkinism.
From Qwerty: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15387077.stm It's very much the same things he says every time, but when it's the right things, there is absolutely no need to change. The more he says them, the more it gets into everyone involved. I'd love to hear him go through his mental procedures, with the players, when it comes to preparing for a game.
He always tries to keep us from running away with ourselves and failing miserably; still talks about those 15 teams with aspirations of promotion. Remember he wouldn't even talk about the certainty of promotion at Plymouth whan all the fans and players were running around like bunnies on speed. Is he like Dorien Gray and has an alter ego in the attic leaping about yelling,'We are going up, we are going up!'
Oh dear, just noticed the strapline on the BBC piece where they've taken a quote out of context: We were everyone's cup final last season and it's the same this season.
http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2488512,00.html Yeah, I think some of Nigel's words are rubbing off on Jos. He speaks of a great season..? That reads like a player who wants to stay very much indeed, with absolutely no reference to whether his services will be retained or not. I'm pretty sure Saints will try, though.
