Adkins came over very well at his press conference at the Etihad. None of the manic evasive side of his character, he came over as an intelligent PL manager. Nothing you may not have heard in his shorter interviews...talked about having to make tough decisions (leaving out Ricky) to win games, pleased with the team etc. Mentioned the plan to get 50% of team from the academy...priority is to win games but also have to be brave enough to give the youngsters a chance. If you don't. he said, there's no point in having a plan. Said how good JWP was...said he was fearless. In a separate interview he mentioned that Lallana had earnt the chance to be captain...so sounds like this will be permanent.
Agreed, it was refreshing to hear such a well-thought out response. And you could see that he was still upset for not winning!
Where is the press conference? Do you mean the one to one interview he does at the end or is there a proper conference i havnt seen yet?
On Player. At Etihad, he's talking to the press in the media room (unfortunately you can't hear their questions).
