Can't understand why people have been so concerned about signings this season?! We only really need two more faces and we've got until the end of August to sign them! Adkins will have the squad he wants by the time the window closes, be sure of that. We're not exactly going to be doing a Leicester and signing every Championship player the tabloids link us with!

Rumours are it is Keith Treacy from Preston with Mills being used as part of the deal. And Marvin Sordell from Watford for £2 million.

Both fine players, but neither is a centre-back.

    2 reasons...

    1. the players has said he doesn't want to leave Watford and is happy there
    2. the club have said he's not for sale and £2m isn't in 1/4 of what he's worth

Haven't Graham and Buckley both left Watford in the past month? Suggests to me that their board would be willing to discuss numbers.

But any way, if we're to sign two players then I want a centre-back and a striker. But a top quality championship centre-back, and a top quality championship striker. None of this Le Fondre, Mellor, Miller rubbish.

St Brendy, you're correct about Watford. Owner has no money and will probably sell whoever he can if some cash was offered to help fund the debt from the purchase of the club.

It would be nice, but it's far from essential. If Puncheon and Chamberlain both leave, then the situation changes of course, but for now I'm happy with what we've got. Chamberlain, Lallana and Guly can all play over there, whilst we could also adapt the formation slightly and either play three in the middle, or a narrow diamond of four, rather than a flat four. It's not as if we're short on CMs.

CB and ST are the only two essential positions to strengthen in my opinion, if we're going to have a strong chance of a top half finish.

I would love to see St. Ledger signed more importantly, but Treacy is class too.

St Ledger's already become one of Leicester's many signings this summer. Fee of just over £1million apparently.

    Yes.
Graham was always going to be sold after finishing the leagues leading scorer. Buckley is injury prone and a confidence based player so £1m will do nicely thank you.

Wrong, any player sales are being used to clear the clubs debt which is now pretty small.

Ok, may have misinterpreted the debt situation, but the owner has no money and I know several Watford fans that keep telling me they are worried about the owners financial plight. Watford based season ticket holders.

If an owner has no money, I'd bet they would take some cash if offered. For us, irrelevant because I don't want us to go for super Marvin anyway. He is pacey and tricky, but looks like one of those players who will just not fulfill his potential.

Can't really see the desperate need for a new CB - Give Martin a run in the team and him and Fonte can be our first choice partnership at the back for years to come! He's gonna be awesome.

We need a winger or two, and a striker. That is essential. George Boyd and Billy Sharp(If we sell Chamberlain I wouldn't be surprised for us to offer him higher wages) or Simon Cox, would be perfect IMO. Then get a loan from a Premiership club at Centre Half, someone like Craig Dawson.
