Well, I thought it was only RLGB who specialised in posting the threads too early. Now all the grumps will think that this is a serious thread and you will get loads of grief...... which will be entirely justified. http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/136667-Will-you-miss
We will have to wait and see His tactics have looked a little inneffective against some teams and changes haven't often been that effective were it not for the quality of player we have. I can see a lot of teams soaking up our attacking play and taking advantage of our poor defence in the PL. Couple that with the fact we will have no chance against teams like Stoke, Swansea and others who will just pressure our midfield out as we have seen this season. So it will depend on whether Adkins can get that 'alternative' shape and style sorted out or it will be more resort to hoofball when we aren't given the space to play.
Most managers wait for a break, like a goal kick or even HT, to change tactics, but one thing I do like about Adkins is his ability to get the players playing different shapes with just a few signals from the touchline. If he doesn't think something is right he'll get the word through the team and they change really quickly. Plus it's all done while the ball is in play.
I said it last season about the Championship and I'll say it this season, you are over estimating the gap between mid table PL to top of the Championship. We will do fine and finish 10-13th.
Every confidence in the man! He's intelligent, is able to communicate his ideas coherently (Hernandez needed Rooney to interpet Alex's team talk in his first season at Old Trafford) and adaptable to changing situations. I'll leave the WHU comments until the end of the regular season.
I agree with this sentiment. At the moment the level in the Premiership is quite low so it is a good time to break in. However the top question is pertinent and will only be answered in the long run, I hope.
No, the top question is not pertinent. It's just Lamballana having a sodding laugh. In the words of Terry Jones, he's a very naught boy!
Ask him how many threads he has started this week?! Perhaps we can let him off with all the excitement going on this week, it is getting to everyone...
I find it a little hard to believe that the eloquent, verbose polyglot utilised as an interpreter at Old Trafford is Wayne Rooney
No I am not letting him off. On the thread, "what will you miss about the championship?" I posted; "I shall miss the relatively happy tone on this board, due to Saints winning more games than they lose. Even so, you would think that we had been relegated to look at some of the teeth-gnashing and navel-gazing which happens on here after one unconvincing performance! We are bound to win fewer matches, and I am sure we would all settle for 50% right now if it was offered. And I can hardly wait for the, "Adkins has been great for us, but he just doesn't have the tactical nous for the Premiership" thread." And so what does he post 10 minutes later? ..........
I might be completely wrong but i have this image in my head of Lamballana that he is the comic book guy out of the simpsons, he strikes me as some one who lives at home with his mum is in his mid forties and spends all day starting threads on here and surfing the internet for porn while eating custard pies. Like i said i have been known to be wrong!!!
