He never fails to bring a smile to your face! Adkins said on Saints player that we may be signing 1 or 2 players before the memorial tournament and that people are working very hard behind the scenes, which is apparent good news for the people who seem to be demanding new signings. Looks like the lads are in pretty good condition and he said that everyone is injury free. Harding had tonsilitis and has been kept away from the squad, so that clears up why he didn't play tonight and wasn't in that picture. Also i've noticed some people moaning about us losing today and it makes me wonder what they are going to be like when we lose games next year, it is inevitable that we will lose more than we did last season for obvious reasons. I guess it's just a clueless minority who don't know much about football. Can't wait for next season, going to be very exciting, COYR!
i wish the moaners would piss off and support man city or man utd, because they won't be content until we're spending 50 mil + and winning the premier league
Get my rep as well, I really should obese in player! your right, the man never ceases to bring a smile!
I know. I'm not sour at all that we lost. I couldn't care less. But our first half team held their own and controlled the tempo of the game. We have a championship ready squad. Adkins is just carefully picking it's front-runners.
These friendly's are merely for team building and to help NA sort out his team prior to the serious football...you need to lose games to regroup and strengthen...go on expecting to win every game then as a fan you'll lose your hair quickly. The lads are keeping fit, the team gets stronger and stronger and the lads are keeping thier feet on the ground.....losing can sometimes be a very timely 'reality check'. COYR!
Lovely to win but not essential in preseason. If you look at the size of St Gallen's stadium, you can see they are not a little team so a good work out. NA was pleased especially with first half where he thought we prevented the opposition really getting into the game. Remember he split the team into two halves to give everyone a chance to get some game time..when we play for real the best players will be in one side. Some idiot has pointed out to Nigel that he keeps saying 'in the building'...no one should stop him using his catchphrases. In an interview, even Nicola said 'in the building'..made me laugh coming from such a smoothie. To Saint..if you can do it Player is worth it. You can get more from real interviews than from the sanitized version they put on OS.
I would rather have the team injury free and hit the ground running for this season. Than going all out in some meaningless friendly game and picking up knocks.
u have my rep. saw the interview and glad to hear him saying there may be 1 or 2 new faces 'in the building' by next week and theyre working hard to secure them. so everyone chill - they are working to get them in, not like theyve stopped trying is it?! also not surprised we havent won yet - cant remember many foreign trips our squad has taken when we have ever even won a pre-season game??? never happens i swear. cant see a win next week either :s
Good to hear signings on the way. Puncheon and Mills out the door which should generate a little revenue to add to the squad. Very pleased with the 25 that went out to Switzerland and I think a big signing could make us very serious play off candidates. I see pace coming

In the past we have beaten Svalbad Fc 9-0. What good is that, when we won't be playing that standard of team. Playing quality teams which test the squad thoroughly without picking up a lot of injuries is more productive.
