Has an impressive goalscoring record for a centre back too, would be a good buy I feel

I'll admit that I've not seen a lot of him, but what I saw of him I liked and to be honest I thought he'd be Championship bound.

If he's willing, then I'd jump at the chance of signing him. If he's got SOD's seal of approval then he's a good bet for me.

What I like about this is if we are still in for McFazdean then none of last seasons CB's who are still here will be in the team! Which is what we want. Plus with Nyatanga's end of season form he wouldn't be a bad option for Back up. I still like him and wouldn't be to upset if Tangs was in the starting 11 at the beginning of next season

Well I'd certainly be happier to see Tango in the team than Fontaine, just what happened to him he looked so good when we first signed him it can't be just that he can't be arsed surely?

Does this mean Nyaclanga won't accept the contract offer?

Just what we need, a young tall fairly cheap centre back!!!!

Nyatanga has over a hundred appearances for us, and he's been here for the best part of four years under four different managers. That's more than enough time for a player to stagnate. Many of our players have been with the club for years, which is a part of the problem with the club.

I still rate Nyatanga, although he needs someone solid around him, and someone behind him giving him **** if he's not playing to an acceptable standard.

Well its only 1 CB in so that means Nyatanga will still be involved in the starting line up unless we get another CB in (I hope) McFazdean would be lovely, We'll have 2 tall physical CB's which is what we will need next year with all the balls being hoofed into our box

    Moloney McFadzean Flint Cunningham

Looks good to me. Smallest player is Cunningham at 6ft

There lies the problem with BCFC, giving average to poor players long term contracts.

You don't know they are going to be a bad/poor player when you sign them. Imagine if we only give Cunningham a year contract! Sometimes you have to take the risk, Mainly longer contracts are given to under 23/24 year olds. I would say our problem is not dropping the poor players and instead continue to play and praise them (that being the managers not fans)

Nyatanga has done very well since he came back in, playing on the wrong side for a left footer and having Fonts next to him. He would be more than adequate alongside Flint/someone else. Really really hope we don't go back in for McFadzean.

Then you have to question the scouting system, why year in year out for 4 years have we bought mostly **** players??

Just one thought on this of those 100 appearences how many have been at LCB rather than RCB or LFB? I seem to remember Tango being moved all over the place to keep Fonts in the team Then when they did play Tango at LCB most of the time it was with either Fonts at RCB or Mr always out of position McGivern at Left Full Back hardly giving anyone a chance to shine.

All good news for us. Now that they have confirmed it, It looks likely that we have put 2 bids in for him. Hopefully we can sign him up quick as we don't want another Keogh ordeal

If it's a 12 month contract extension don't both sides have to agree to it after all I doubt if any club would continue to pay a players wages if they tried to activate a contract extension so how can Swindon refuse the transfer request?
