**** this i love adel football supporters are sooooo fickle, everyone go back to threads last season and your all see who you were raving about, its not like his lost talent over night, obviously his head is not in the right place at the moment....
Ugh, I really cba to argue about this again, Yes I'm not denying that Adel was AMAZING last season but that is the past. The past doesn't win you games, it doesn't keep you in the prem, and For some reason Adel just can't handle the prem. Anyway back to my original question...
Thank you Maida - can we just copy and paste this every time someone fails to realise the difference between form and ability. Most skillful player I've seen in hoops, gets double marked by every team yet people think he's useless. Just wrong.
He also missed a penalty in the shoot out - hit the post. Everything he seems to touch seems to be going wrong at the moment.
He'll go to PSG. Or Napoli. And play at the highest level in front of 50,000. I just hope he knows that there are those of us who did not backstab him, and that he retains some happy and fond memories of our little club.
French football is certainly not the highest level and Italian football has deteriorated drastically over the last few years. If he goes to Napoli he'll be playing infront of more than 50,000 at the San Siro!If he wants to play at the top level it has to be in the Premiership or La Liga, end of.
only the management team and adel will know how to sort this out.... i really wanted him to do well this season.....
We all did. None of us wanted this to happen but there's no doubt we are a better team atm without him in the side. We all wanted Adel to prove that he is the player we know he can be - to prove that he really could make the step up to the next level. Whether it be attitude or ability it hasn't happened yet. Along with Paddy he really was the difference for us last season. The Boxing Day game against Swansea is the one game that sticks out for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df1zdsceihc At about the 0.43 mark when he nutmegs the Swans no24 you can see the defenders shouders droop and he just basically gives up. I am convinced that there is a really good player in there capable of playing at the highest level, and I hope, against hope, he realises this and sorts his 'tude out pdq.
Adel is an irritating, difficult, egotistical prima donna - but I still feel for the little bugger now that he's getting left behind
