The window has shut and it would appear he realises the need to knuckle down. Let's hope he's sincere as this could be a massive boost for us!! Undoubtedly it's in his own interest to perform to look for a move but that's fine with me as that's how id have sold it to him if I was HR. Come on Adel!! @IJTaylor81: .@tonyfernandes just told me he had a text from Adel earlier this week saying 'I want to show the world what I can do at @QPRFC' #QPR @IJTaylor81: .@tonyfernandes added - 'Adel told me he wants to be the best. To show everyone what he can do' #QPR
Best option for everyone is an Adel on fire proving his worth. Good to hear he wants to deliver the goods.
So what has he been doing for the last 2 years, in the prime of his career ? Hope fully this IS a wake up call for him. If so, then .... This
Good to hear. I suspect Adel and Harry aren't on hugging terms but TF and Hoddle will give him the love and encouragement he seems to need
Adel wanting to play and do well is a significant step. Him doing it is the next. The first part is all his responsibility, the second part can be encouraged with game time - the guy wants a ball at his feet and so needs increasing sub cameos until fit.
Their names escape me... It is definitely best for all concerned if he can play with a point (or several) to prove - we get a player for x months, it can only help having 25 rather than 24 members of his squad and, should he actually knuckle down, we might get more value than 6 million from him.
It would be absolutely wonderful if he could revert to his form of our 2010-11 Championship season, even though back then he still had an attitude at times - Hull away? But he is older, hopefully wiser now, and with the support of Steve Black and Glenn Hoddle (both seen in the Sunderland tunnel cam), perhaps he can recreate some of those AC Milan heady days, but in an R's shirt - actually with our away kit (if you don't look at those horrible number patches on the back), he might even think he is back playing in Italy. He also has a very talented group of players to work alongside - I was really looking forward to seeing him play with Ale Faurlin this season, but that is not to be - perhaps he will make this effort for Ale, and to make himself presentable for a possible January transfer window. please log in to view this image
If he were to have a couple of good games we'd get all the transfer talk coming out again, it seems there's only self-interest at stake here...
