Have we lost the real Taraabt this season i feel sorry for the guy in a way dont get me wrong i love all the players we have brought into the club so far, but i cant help thinking that something has been taken away from adels game i have just been looking at last years video their was things he was trying which were amazing to me he seems scared to try half the things he used to do for the fear of being told off, maybe its just early days and he will get back to the player we saw last season obviously with out the tantrums, this is just my opinion your thoughts guys
The answer to your question is no! Taraabt is definitely still the player he was, probably better as he now seems to do more work for the team. He's hit the woodwork 3 or 4 times already this season. He'll be in the goals before you know it and once he gets one he'll hit a few. Remember he didnt really have a pre-season so is still finding his match fitness. I still tip him to score at least 8 league goals by Christmas and get his fair share of assists.
I think he started this season slowly, probably due to Ramadan, but I think he is now looking better every game. He can't pull off so many "tricks" as he's up against much better players. He also now realises that he can't risk giving the ball away so much against better opposition who are more likely to hurt us. I also think he plays the right or simple pass most of the time this season and, with a bit of luck, would have stuck a couple of goals away already. He's also working much harder and trying to get tackles in more etc. So, all in all, I don't agree mate!!
Agree with QPRSAM, i think he is by far a better player from last year and has matured into a real team player. Remember what he was like a few seasons back? Wouldn't pass the ball and felt he had to do it all himself. What a difference to the player we see now. Yes he can still do the showboating but i'm hoping he now realises that he cant get away with a lot of that against a far better opposition. In my eyes he just keeps getting better and better
My initial thoughts are that maybe you need to use a little more punctuation loftboy. I ran out of breath just reading that! As much as I agree with the other guys that Taarabt has actually improved his game recently, I understand where loftboy is coming from, especially after also watching last seasons highlights earlier. He got a lot of stick in the past for holding on to the ball too much, but there have been many occasions when we were glad that he had! I spent a lot of last season telling everyone that he will light up the Premiership and I still have faith that come May he will be involved in the goal of the season short list!
I never for the life of me understood some people's aversion to full-stops. Its peculiarly common. Although Sam was talking complete balderdash the other day, he's got it spot on tonight. What he said.
i must be the biggest mug punter in the world cos i have just bought another pair of bjorn borg hipster jockeys.. i love this scam and i want a piece of the action. i dont care if you are nigerians or forbys or white city pikeys.. it is #decent..
We will get a penalty on Sunday. ( SWP with a lovely little shuffle & dribble, hacked down by Senderos just inside the box. ) Taarabt steps up, side foots home... Fulham 0 QPR 1 ( Taarabt (pen) 7 mins And from that point onwards, our illustrious 'Talisman' will bounce, twist & flourish against the Prems finest. Completing his hat-trick against Fulham. Scoring freely & fleeting of foot of all opposition, for the rest of the season.. until the January transfer window..... When he will sign for Real Madrid for £25m.
... and get fed up because he will spend the majority of the remainder of the season sitting on the bench.
Couldn't agree less with this article. Adel is flourishing with the new talent all around him, still showing some great skills but is finally showing some team awareness as well. If we had a striker sticking away the chances that he and SWP are creating together we would be top 5 by now.
I reckon last season Warnock told the rest of the players not to get the hump with Adel if he went for the spectacular shot instead of the nailed on pass for a goal. This season he has target men like Bothroyd (please score soon mate) and DJ who would expect service and not to stand there watching the ball fly out of the ground from one of Adel's wayward shots. Even though he still has Derry to mop up the mistakes he also has Barton in his ear all game and I think this has tempered his normal flair. Premiership teams are quick to learn and Adel will find chances of top corner curlers few and far between. Here's hoping we can work on a formation and style of play that can combine his new work ethic with some jaw dropping stunners. Come on the R's, Fulham are due a spanking.
There's some truth that he looked a bit inhibited during the Newcastle and (especially) the Wolves game. But he had a solid game against Villa and I have no doubt he'll flourish with the better players around him. Looking for a great performance against Fulham.
i think we have seen a better Adel this year than last he is just short of a goal and when one goes in more will follow, european clubs will be watching his progress but until he does it on the premier league stage he wont be going anywhere.
Adel is doing a great job and will only get better as he learns from some of the experienced players around him. Given what he did for us last season, goals and assists, and his overall style of play, this guy should be a nailed on R's icon. But I don't think we will ever love him as much as we did Stan and Rodney - I certainly don't but not sure why - perhaps the game has changed too much (and he has the wrong shirt number)
and he has hit the woodwork 3 times so could have had 3 goals already this season hopefully he will get one soon as he still looks to be our main goal threat btw what happened to that link to the underwear from last season? maybe i had a bit too much Bob Hope and imagined it? wouldnt be the first time! U R'sss
