Evening guys, with Morocco's early exit obviously he is due back for you this week. Do you reckon he'll be given a fresh start under Hughes? and if so how much of a bearing do you think he'd have on your season? Thanks in advance
Depends which Adel turns up! The Adel of last season playing with flair and confidence would be a big asset. The Adel we've seen so far this season has failed to find the spark and his strops will signal an early exit if he tries them on MH...
I'm sure Hughes will want to use him and he was playing well in the few games before he left. Hughes seems to be favouring the 4-4-1-1 which should suit him perfectly. With Traore and Taiwo on the left, Young and SWP on the right and potentially Moses up front there should be some pace in the side at least.
I for one hope he is given a chance under Hughes. I think with the new players coming in, he may realise that he has a chance to prove himself a premiership player. I would guess that MH has given everyone a clean sheet / fresh start to prove themselves, however, he has probably been scouting for players incase he got another manager role and has an idea of who will fit where. AT has talent, not questioning that, its just that he needs to get his head sorted out, and ditch the hangers on. NW was good for him in the championship - not sure what went on for the fall out but he has to prove that he can play where his new manager wants him to play, and to fight for the team rather than himself. IF At can play as part of the team then we will be good, if he doesn't I will see only one winner and that is MH
I think Adel has looked like a team player the last few games he's played but he has that extra magic that can change/win a game. I love watching him play, even if he can be frustrating, I dread the day he leaves us! `Taarabt's to good for you`
We have no creativity without him. We need him back and playing like we know he is capable of, providing assists and goals. How I miss those magical moments from last season. I would have Taarabt any time over the likes of SWP. With Taarabt there is some chance we might create something.
Adel will come back to us at his very best and drag us to mid table safety single handedly with his brilliance. It will happen, you read it here first
Moses would be a brilliant signing for you. I don't rate SWP that highly, he blows hot and cold though, sadly it's cold more often than hot.
I wrote some time ago that I would prefer SWP to Routhledge how wrong was I, we need Adel as my friend Ciarrai stated we need creativity and we need it now.
We need creativity and someone to hold the ball up occasionally which were badly missed Saturday. Adel, more than any other player we have and more than most we have been linked with, can provide this.
Adel certainly brings some creativity to our midfield ,what was missin big time on saturday. In adel we have a man who can score and assist a goal quite suprisingly as we noticed last season. Yes i know it hasn't work properly this season but he has had his share of bad luck too. Im not sure but if im not totally wrong he has struck against the post 4-5 times this season..........
Id like to see him take the place of SWP and keep it as long as he works hard and doesnt throw strops. Theres no way he will have a free role, he will have to be a winger or centre forward.
OH well here goes.... Personally i dont mind (care) if he comes back as he still hasnt proved himself a premiership player..IMO Last year in the boys league he was absolutely amazing and stood out a mile, but problem is he's now playing against better players he fades into the background. He's got skill ,but MH has contacts with proven players with just as much if not more skill. I think we all want him back to do what he did last year, but that aint going to happen. He cant / wont get away with all the tricks and flicks that he did playing against a league of 2nd rate players. Even last year against "old pro's" like Robbie Savage he was found wanting. Now i think he COULD be a good quality regular player but he'd have to give up most of the "show-boating" and thats what we all love about him isnt it? There is no doubt that he is our most creative outfield player, but that doesnt make him god (yes i meant that); it just makes the rest no good /rubbish ?! I'm not sure what MH will do to be honest, but he will allready have a plan, and if AT doesnt fit in with his work ethic and style, then there will only be 1 winner..... The guys had countless chances, when do we say enough and get someone who will do a solid consistant job in one of the 25 places. We are going to need all 25 players if we are to get out of this situation, do we gamble on giving 1 to an unproven at prem level or get a steady regular in to do a job and get us out of this. I know i'm in the minority here, and HONESTLY; Id love nothing more than for Adel to come out and make me eat my words....I'm just not going to hold my breath thats all.. Here's to eating humble pie eh? Now I'll put my tin hat on and wait for the fall out........!!
queenslander i think you what you have said is very true. but i disagree with you on the chances he has been given to prove that he can change or even given the chance to change even. adels pre season was messed up by the fact the previous owns thought they were going to sell for millions which was never the case. then joey came along which did him no favours. getting a bus home at half time from fulham was to be fair a big f up made by him. since then he was just dumped which did him no favours. which in my was opion unfair. since he has come back he has shown he can play at this level. i think he is learning and he knows he cant play like he did last year and he has shown that in place. i dont think he will be a great prem player but he can be a very good one and at the moment we really need him
Before going out to Africa, he was starting to look really good again. Hopefully he can pick up where he left off. At his best, he can be the heart of creative play in the team, pulling chances out of the air when you thought there were none.
Mate he defo was that in the Championship, but we're in with the big boys now and there is no way in hell he going to nutmeg other CM's like he did last year... He started badly this season for a number of reasons, the main one being he told everyone he was leaving for PSG or where-ever..that was no-one elses fault but his... Hope fully he has gron up and does realise, then i think he can be a good player, but like i said, getting bored with waiting mate...BUT..god knows we need "some-one like him"!! PS..i really have no intention of spending every saturday night argueing about him if he plays well or ****e !! done that on another site and got really bored really quickly !! You guys seem far to sensible to go down that road.... Like i said Adel..Gauntlet down...Prove to me how good you can be in the Prem...PLEASE !!
In my opinion he has already showed that he has the ability to play in this league but he needs consistency, maturity and focus. I honestly think he has the capability of being one of the best players in the world in the future but he needs to do a lot of hard work for that and needs to improve his attitude continually. P.s. he already has gotten away with a cheeky nutmeg this season. Albeit against Norwich.
We all know what he can do on the pitch when he has a mind to. The problems lay behind the scenes. He had a very bad attitude to training which Warnock et al put up with. Now MH demands a lot more of the players in training. They have all had to put much more effort in (if reports are to be believed). This means that Adel will have to put in double that to keep up with his team mates. The likes of Hughes, Barton and most of the rest of the team won't tolerate him being carried on the training ground. That is where the problems lie. The little tantrums on the pitch, etc, can be tolerated to a degree, but not on the training ground any more. Like Queenslander, I really do hope he comes good because he could be a very special player. However, I have my doubts. He will find it very difficult if he doesn't put a shift in on the training ground. After Tuesday the team will be entirely different and I can't see the new players putting up with him. By September most of the Championship winning side will have gone or be kicking their heels in the reserves. They knew the value of Adel during that season and spent much of their time biting their lips. That is a long way in the past and Adel can no longer expect everything to revolve around him - on or off the pitch. Queenslander. Better have two spoons ready as I may be joining you eating that humble pie. (They won't expect us to have a pie each, will they?)
