I wish we left him at spurs....I cant believe the way he has acted. We saved him from reserve football and built a team around him, dealt with his sulks and stuck by him and he cant wait to leave... Id love it if PSG really did fail to win anything next year and he struggles and winds up back in England Playing for a team like West Brom....

Lets face it he doesnt have the bottle for the Prem

While I agree that the prospect of winning more matches is appealing, why? Surely the point of playing in the Championship is to win promotion to the Premier League. Taarabt did more than anyone else on the pitch to achieve that.

Why am i talking Bollocks We have built a team around him and allowed him to become a stand out player in the league. Im not Doubting his ablitiy im angered by the way he has acted. Lets face it Taarabt only had such a great season becuase the system we put in place for him allowed him to.

That's a bit harsh Qpranger. Yes he's a stroppy so and so but he virtually won us matches single-handedly last year. So whatever happens, we should always remember him fondly for getting us to the Prem. If he does go to PSG (or anywhere else for that matter) take heart from the fact it will last about 3 weeks. No other club or manager would build a team around him, make him captain and generally put up with his tantrums and sulks. So wherever he goes, I'm certain it'll end in tears and he'll be back to Uncle Neil by Christmas. Just in time to rescue us from the jaws of relegation and thus confirming his legendary status.

I think the point you're making 100, is that he's behaving like a spoilt, unappreciative brat, something I both agree with and absolutely deplore.

HOWEVER, we're beggars and he's rightly or wrongly in a position to choose...

Again it's this position of weakness we've been subjected to over a number of years, which is not being made any better under this lot, that's to blame, not our errant little starlet I'm afraid.

You're talking bollocks because you said you wished we'd not taken him from Spurs. That means we wouldn't have had the pleasure of watching him all last season and we wouldn't have been promoted!!

100, as per my earlier reply, why would you rather be playing in the Championship this season?

I strongly disagree with what you say, QPR100, but will defend your right to say it.

100 we built the team around him because he’s the best player we’ve had in 10-15 years at least. No other player could have done what he did for us

And to say he doesn’t have the bottle for the premiership is a bit silly. I think everyone would agree not many players have a fraction of the self confidence of Adel so he definitely doesn’t lack bottle.

…talking as if Adel owes us a favour. You should be more grateful what he has done for us.

How can you be angry at a player who got us promoted?!

A big team from the capital of his home country who have cash to burn are offering him big money while Flabio disgracefully offers him a contract extension without improving the terms of his current deal. Add to that our lack of signings and you can see why he’s willing to consider moving on if being offered a better deal elsewhere.

Ranger 100. I was merely commenting on the lack of sense your thread made. I don't quite think that justifies telling me to go fluck myself.

Point 1 - 'I wish we left him at spurs' - This is clearly a very stupid statement. We would we languishing below the playoffs, and gettin ready for a trip to doncaster in a few weeks. There is absolutely no way we would be playing premier league football without his influence.

Point 2 - 'I'd love it if....he struggles and winds up back in england with west brom' - I know he's been a petulant wee dick lately, and throws his toys out of the pram on a regular basis, but...........to be honest, did we really think he was ever going to stay with us for ever. The only reason he came to us, was coz NW persuaded him that we would be the stepping stone to the Nou Camp. He was never going to be loyal. He got us promoted FULL STOP. He has performed the task for which he was brought to the club, and i for one am eternally grateful for that. I do not think it is appropriate to 'want him to struggle' considering what he has done for the club.

Point 3 - 'Doesn't have bottle for the prem' - This is just drivel, and doesn't deserve comment.

Point 4 - 'yes i would rather play in the championship' - Seriously? Well then i expect you will not attend any games this season, in protest of the fact that we signed a moroccan wizkid for not very much money, who got us promoted to the best league in the world.

In summary, just as you do have the right to pollute this site with meaningless and counterproductive drivel, i also have the right to tell you that you are making very stupid statements.

You do not however have the right to tell me to 'go fluck myself', and i take extreme exception to this.

It is quite clear from the other responses that my views on this thread represent the collective majority.

Well guys, first thread virgin. Hope i dont offend you all by saying that although i think he was a fine player in the Championship i think he would struggle in the Prem. I feel 13-15 million is a hell of a lot of dough for an unproven player. He is unproven in that he has not played a the highest level yet either in a domestic league or at international level. If i thought that NW would get some or all of the cash for his sale then i would say go and sell him for this stupid amount of money. However, if NW is not going to get any of the cash then its obviously better to keep him. If proven correct then i think he will struggle this coming season and he wont be worth a fraction of the sums being mentioned. Therefore in my humble opinion its better to sell hom now.
By the way i hate those muppets that are destroying our club. Cant wait to see them gone.
