Sorry if this has been done, but some outrageous quotes in the metro:
'People say Newcastle will be good for me, that the fans love players like me. It is fantastic to play in front of 50,000 supporters every week,' Taarabt told the Mail on Sunday.
'I do not need one of the very big clubs at this stage of my career.'

Anyone else desperately hope he comes nowhere near our club? Just a selfish brat who is looking to improve his own reputation

There were a few threads on this yesterday but I agree, hell of a player but he's gonna cause riots in the same side as HBA, Barton etc.

He actually believes he'll be playing for a Man U, Chelsea, etc type team one day. The word deluded springs to mind.....

If he has a season in the prem like he did in the championship then I think he'll end up at Chelski, City etc.

But he won't, he'll get found out this season and just be another player who's found his level at lower prem.

    Agree with this <ok>

He won't be good enough for the Prem as he has no discipline. He reminds me of a younger C Ronaldo, but in a team in the Premier League (apart from QPR), big player such as Barton will undermine him and he will want to leave.

  12. He can **** off. He even said himself he'd want to use this club as a stepping stone to move on to a bigger club later on. He can go **** himself.

A lot of people seem to judge him on his time at Spurs (he was 17!!) and his ego being too big. Great players have big egos.

He may be arrogant, but he'll be a £20m player in a few years.

Comparing Taarabt to Routledge is just laughable.

Great player and has the potential to become World class but there are questions raised about his attitude towards being a team player.

For the right price and right wages he'd potentially be worth a shot.

If he can get his head down, play as a team player and perform to his ability then he'd have a hell of a resell value on him and that may sway Mike.

Reminds me of Zog.............." Arsenal are interested in me"..............

Truth is we're stiff with midfielders/wingers.............need a good up front proven scorer.............Berb at ManU?

Thats what MA wants though. He doesn't care about the loyalty of players he wants to buy them cheap and sell em' on. Taarabt will fit right in with this 'policy'.

Really average player. Put a man on him and he disappears (like Derby did with Robbie Savage!!) Arrogant. He'll flop next season.
