QPR manager Neil Warnock has claimed Adel Taarabt blew his chance of a potential big-money move to Manchester United after showing his petulant side during a recent match against Hull City. This makes me smile alot if true
The fact it happened near the end of a transfer window where there seems to have been not one jot of interest in a player Redknapp let go for ̢̮â¬Å¡Ãâã500k tells its own story.
Bearing in mind I'm a regular on a QPR forum it's funny that this is the first I've heard about Man U scouting him this season. Does it strike anyone else as being more likely they sent someone to check up on Evans since they knew he was likely to play as a result of Ashbee's transfer request?
Tarabt was a joke. Ther's no way he'll make it at a top club unless he changes his attitude, thats if he's good enough
The problem with him, is that he knows he is bigger than QPR. Warnock lets him get away with everything, he tells all the players just to let him get on with whatever he wants to do etc... So he can kick up a fuss and nothing will come of it.
the Man U scout probably came away thinking "Evans looks decent but who was that tart with a face on?"
they would probably have been watching Cam too as he was still a Man U player at the weekend. As funny as it would be, I don't think it would make too much of a problem going to united, Fergie would sort him right out, just look at Rooney for an example, had much worse a temper on him and still went there. Taarabt just made a complete fool of himself and embarrased himself and his club. The part I'd be ashamed about if I was a QPR fan was his refusal to play and wanting to come off, I wouldn't stand for that, but they let him get away with it too coz they know he's bigger than the club like you say.
