Adel Taarabt eyes QPR comeback By Jacob Murtagh Jul 21 2011 Share Add a comment Recommend ADEL Taarabt has told pals he wants to join QPR on their pre-season trip to Italy. The wantaway star was left out of the tour to Cornwall this week to finalise a £15million move to PSG. Boss Neil Warnock expected the 22-year-old's future to be sorted out by the time the team return to London at the weekend. But the Taarabt saga is set to drag on into next week as he is yet to agree a move to the French club. And the Moroccan wants a seat on the plane to Italy in a bid to get match-fit ahead of any prospective move. if he has any sense he will stay where he is... think of his value if he has a good season...or a bad one
TBH This sounds a bit cheeky from Adel because I can't see him ever playing again for us; but i really, really, really hope I'm wrong!
What's the point! If he's not going to play there's no point in him going. There's no point in him playing, we need to make sure his replacement (whoever that's meant to be) get's playing time in the system we intend to play this season (whatever that might be). Might as well stay at home. What's that saying... you made your bed...
Yes defo. he is still a QPR player until he leaves, whether it be today, tomorrow, next week or next year. Putting the shirt on and playing with a team that lets him express himself might put second thoughts in his head about leaving
Get him playing with the team and new players so he remembers what it was like last season and sees the quality of the new guys. Anything to help him stay would be positive and this could help. Got a feeling Warnock wont play him though if he knows he is leaving.
If we get him training with the 1st team again Derry could always give him a knock or two so he will have to stay for another few months!
If it is 100% certain that he's leaving then I agree he shouldn't go. But if, as I suspect is the case, it's not a done deal, then I think he should go and get match fit.
Absolutely agree. Anyone else think that Taarabt actually doesn't want to go but seems to be prostituted around Europe by Briatore in the hope of a sale?
davidmcintyre76 David McIntyre looking like PSG will sign Taarabt in next couple of days. Seems like a deal is close now.
The fee seems to be going down. SNN says we wanted 10mil cash up front but PSG wanted to 8mil plus 2 mil in add ons. And it was Arsene Wenger that recommended Adel to them. The Bastard.
Adel looks almost certain to leave but it's great if he will stay. We love him. But he seems to be a casualty of the management's lack of offering money.
