Adel Taarabt has been sent home from QPR’s pre-season trip to Devon.

The squad are training in the West Country ahead of Thursday’s friendly against Exeter City.

Taarabt, who is keen to leave Rangers this summer, has been warned about his conduct on a number of occasions in recent months.

I knew it was him when he was absent from all photos/video. This could be the last of him. I wonder what the reason was.

Must be something reasonably serious. Don't think Harry would damage what spirit we have in this squad in the pre-season if it wasn't necessary. I suppose it could be a continuation of the general recalcitrance for which he was fined at the end of last season. Harry wouldn't stand for anyone undermining his authority

Thats what someone else said, general poor attitude to the training.

I wouldnt have sent him home, Id have made him do more running while the others did the ball work.

His behaviour will make him undesirable for other clubs....

I'm clutching at straws here, but Ramadan starts tomorrow.

It's started already so hope that's the reason! Would be a massive loss, I'll be gutted!

Ramadan begins today I believe, that means 18 or so hours fasting per day until the end of August; the very thought of cramming all that pudding into the wee hours of the morning tipped him off the scales no doubt.

I was just thinking that this might be part of the reason. Without wanting to open a can of worms on here that has been opened many, many times before, it must be incredibly difficult for any Muslim professional athlete during Ramadan, whatever the sports discipline they play.

I have zero sympathy for him.

If his attitude is half as bad as it appears to be from the outside, it is time to part ways. We can not afford to carry any passengers this season when it comes to attitude.

Fair play to Harry for taking the action he has taken.

I always felt Adel would go this Summer and this latest episode appears to be the final straw. Of course, I want him to stay as he is such a good player.

I hope he has been docked his wages, not just sent home.

Interesting. I thought he was absent from the training video and wondered why.
It would be very tough to train in this heat and not consume between sunrise and sunset during training.
Hopefully that's all it is and the medical team are taking the decision to help him.

Apparently, the club are refusing to comment which would seem to rule Ramadan out. The club wouldn't be reticent if it had been for religious reasons, surely...

It is always fun reading through these threads. The Adel fans desperate to find a reason/excuse for his actions or the actions of the club towards him. Then there are those who aren't fans who are desperate to find a reason/excuse to oust him for his actions.

    Here we go again!

Sunset last night from the one I'm next to! That's commitment if he's done an extra day!

Townsend for adel in a straight swop would do me. adel was a star in the championship but only showed glimpse s of that genius in the past 2 years. andros was outstanding last season.

Love the idea of that...but surely Taarabts lack of performance over the past two seasons will put off any Premiership clubs. The odd glimpse of genius isn't enough to prove to other clubs he's worth it.
