I felt that having no Adel today and playing like we did showed him that he isnât the only talent in the team, he is not immune from being dropped - as we can do it without him! R's played brilliantly today and in my personal opinion Taarabt shouldnât start next week either! The last few matches have been like starting with 10 men. - My opinion of course, I know a lot of people will disagree as he was the championship hero, but unfortunately heâs not done it for me in the prem. I felt that Warnock would not have dropped Adel to the bench today, so Adel being ' ill ' is a good thing as it has shown warnock that we have the potential with or without him. Not a one man team.
Care to explain your reasons. (this may be one of the many reasons why people on here dont seem to like you very much)
I don't think he is ill, it's a holy day on Sunday, and calling in Tom dick, just saves face. Personally, I thought Adel would have shone tonight, I think he would have had better luck in shooting outside the box than Joey did.
I think we had our strongest team on the field today. At long last NW plays the right cards. Long may it continue. We'll pick up points if we keep playing like that....add a few more quality players in January....exciting times!
Wasn't at the match' of course - but from the television broadcast and with the commentary favourable to the good guys (most of the time) it was fairly apparent that while the Tarbs of old was missed there is talent capable of making up for his absence I was quite concerned with our fate this season if he was at PSG or one of the other sides courting him a few months ago, but now, well I'm not so sure.
He's done nothing this season and has gradually become less effective as his confidence wanes. His lack of work ethic and constant bitching for a move to a 'bigger' club has shown him up to being a shallow, selfish troublemaker and the team can perform more effectively without him. We all love a maverick who can score an outrageous goal and produce 'show pony' tricks, but Taarabt just doesn't want to put the effort in elsewhere in his game and most of our fans now realise he was not quite as brilliant as he would have us believe. A few opportunities as an impact sub will give him the opportunity to make us believe in him again, but somehow I get the feeling his heart isn't in our club...
Great team performance as they all played well ... Think however if we did that with Taarabt ie he had a blinder as well? That's the difference he is our cream
We have found our best team. Taarabt will have to force his way back into the team after a number of impressive stints from the bench. This is from a big Taarabt fan, the team must be picked on form,
Where would you slot him in the team DT, and who would you leave out? Much as I love to see him play, I agree that it will have to be from the bench.
As much as I hate to say it, if this is the case, we are better off without him. No one has a divine right to be in the team, it must be picked on form. He needs to grow up and work hard if he is not to waste the undoubted talent that he has.
We've hit Catch 22 with Adel. He needs match time to play himself Into form and confidence, but we can't afford to give him match time because of his form and confidence....if he rises to the challenge and has a couple of stellar performances from the bench there is a way back, but it's all down to his attitude. The formation Warnock has discovered more by accident than design does not help Adel's chances either.......but it's a long season and I am sure he will get a run at some stage.
Nothing this season? Who ran the show against Newcastle? Who hit the post against Villa? Who hit the post against Wigan? Who played SWP through on goal that resulted in Bosingwa getting sent off? Who did Drogba lunge into? Yeah, that's right, he's done nothing this season.
First post on this site. Was at the game yesterday and I realised that Taraabt simply doesn't fit into the way the team plays best. We can't afford to keep playing him and I hope that we've seen the last of him. After 9 games, no goals and no assists, so he's had his chances, and failed. It sound harsh, but his overall spoilt brat attitude has meant that I have absolutely no sympathy for him. Unfortunately the way he has played so far this season must have seen his value drop by at least half, if not more. I'm not sure if any team would come in for him after watching his antics and lack of nous this season. It's one thing doing it in the Championship and another to succeed in the premiership and I don't think he's got the right mental attitude to play for QPR. He's a luxury player and the way we played in the second half against Spurs and throughout the game yesterday was a breath of fresh air. Our first priority is to stay up. If we play like last night we will, if we play like the first half at Spurs we won't. I'm not sure if any of the team want him playing either, a lot are now hard bitten premiership pros and they probably seem his as a spoilt little t...ser. Thanks for last season Adel and cheerio...
