The icing on the cake is that, if one believes reports, it's players that they can't shift like Adebayor clogging up their wage bill which is preventing them from making new signings like Van Persie.
He's pissed off the Spurs fans as well, only reason for not joining yet is because they haven't met his wage demands. We have a couple of those too. Chamakh and Bendtner both could have left to Italy for lower wages, but they'd rather sit on the bench and get the higher paycheck.
