Mirror are reporting that Adebayor is keen to join Spurs and almost did before he went on loan to Madrid. Paper talk is usually tosh, but they do quote him saying that he would like to play for Spurs and giving his reasons why the obvious history between him and spurs fans wouldn't prove to be a problem. He is certainly a good player and one that Spurs could do with. Would Spurs fans embrace him at the club like they did with Gallas? http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...tenham-fans-just-weeks-ago-article734844.html
City won't give us players so take the talk of him joining us in January or the summer with a gigantic pinch of salt
We will be linked to so many players, as usual. We will then buy someone who has not been mentioned. So! who has not been mentioned YET!
tbh I dont think he is that great though he is possibly better than anything we have at the moment. 1st step though is getting some kind of european football going
We could do a lot worse than Adebayor but I wouldnt see this happening. City wont sell to us and we better say the same this summer if they come knocking.
I think City will sell players to us this summer because they will be looking to get to next level and not see us as a threat. Gladly take Adebayor and Given off their hands
Other than the Adebayor song, which would not have been thought of if he wasn't an Arsenal player, there is little bad blood between Spurs fans and Adebayor If anything they both enjoyed the running to the Arsenal fans and celebrating incident Personally I think he's disruptive as shown by his track record at Arsenal and City. If Mourinho, who is no stranger to upsetting people, doesn't want to sign him, then that should tell you something
Well knowing man city's transfer to Tottenham policy........... I personally would see it as a victory of some vast proportion. A striker who can a: physically batter most defenders in the premiership(the jury's still out on the kolo incident as it could've been a sneak attack) & b: thrive as a lone striker! So yes he's scum but if we sign him, he'd be our scum & I'd embrace him.
Spurs fans (And I'm one) are like all fans, all talk. If Adebayor was to come and start scoring all would be forgotten and he would be liked. I was reading a statement of his saying that fans must control their emotions as must players.....perfect philosophy. We need new strikers and it's better to sign a player who wants to play for a team rather than one who is just getting paid for doing so. But,if Harry goes to England then all our talk is wasted because a new coach would want completely different players. We will just have to be patient.
I think we need someone like him but not so sure about his attitude. Plus, I can't see City selling anyone to us.
