<cheers>Some people said the deal was to be done and dusted by yesterday, but unfortunately
no news. Do you have any idea of what is going on.?
Do you think we really need Charlie Adam, I understand he prefers to come to
Liverpool.:wink:We have too many players in our midfield at the moment.<laugh>

Must admit I also think our midfield is a bit overloaded.

I would prefer we didn't go for him. He has excellent set piece and corner ability, but that's where his attributes finish. We need someone is a complete pass master, he doesn't really fit that mold.

I don't know. He almost single-handidly kept Blackpool in the league and we always seem to lack a clever pass in midfield. With news that Raul may be on his way it looks like he could be a good stop-gap.

Yeah, but Woy kept WBA in the league and look what he did for us.
I'm in two minds about Adam, I'm afraid he might be a player who does well in a lower table side but might not make the step up. It's a question of wait and see I suppose- as with everything, I'm happy that Kenny and Steve know more about assembling a team than I do.

2009: We haven't got enough depth.

2011: We've got too many decent midfielders.

    Sigh

I would be pretty happy if we did'nt sign him to be honest I would much prefer Aqua back but he does'nt seem to fancy it. I would'nt be too pushed about Adam I would like us to sign James McCarthy off Wigan instead.

I truly hope that adam was not one of KK's prime targets as this whole saga could now get very messy. We now find that Villa may be interested. Spurs have a problem with Modric. Add to that the attitude of Blackpool's manager and chairman. It's a recipe for a very expensive disaster.

I think there is a place for him at Liverpool but think you guys have had enough of been messed about and are refusing to pay over the odds so looking elsewhere (Gago been linked and is far better)

not sure what to make of Adam, has always looked good whenever seen him play but Blacpool are being complete dicks about it so I think we should look elsewhere. However,I would say that his style of play is something we are crying out for.I don't see any of our current midfiled playing the way he does.
Damn it just go and get Alonso back then all our troubles are over !!!!

Finally might be moving on this again - I honestly thought the wheels had fallen off of this deal and we were waiting for the under 19's tourney to finish before we carried on making purchases but it looks as though i'm wrong

I'm looking forward to him coming to be honest. He's not a bad signing and anyone who adds anyting to Liverpool FC is a good thing in my opinion, i'd take him over Poulson any day

Yeah ive just read a very similar article in the blackpool echo (i think it was the echo, if not the local blackpool paper). Says that a 10mil bid will be made over the weekend before the talks start, and the transfer is expected to happen sooner rather than later.

To be honest i was unsure at first about Adam, but i agree that he surely would be a better player than the likes of Poulson. So overall, 10 mil for a good player that is 25 must be good business <ok>

Getting adam would make our squad stronger but surely the money/ squad number could be better utilised improving other areas.

Adam will be a great signing for LFC and its nice to see a player showing commitment to play for us and not prepaired to talk to other clubs. That fact that Man U, spurs and villa are all interrested shows that its not just KK that rates him.
My dad is a life long blackpool fan and we went to a fair few games the season before last when BP were in the championship, so i've seen him play quite a bit. He's a team player with great passing skills and attacking vision, without whom BP would have not been promoted and relegation certs at christmas, he will make a fantastic impact at LFC. Ok so he has his floors which were highlighted at blackpool as they have little in the way of defence but I think this time next season you will all be saying that he was well worth the 10m.

I'm so strongly against this signing it's not even funny.

Mainly due to the fact that his arrival guarantees Meireles' departure.
