Does anyone have the attendances for all Wycombe's home games this season, split by home and away fans. The reason I'm looking for these figures is that it would be interesting to analyse number of travelling fans by distance and size of club. Using this, plus the club's travelling expenses to away matches, it would be interesting to see if the net income of the lower league clubs could be significantly increased by reverting to the old Divisions South and North. Gut feel says that the the club's travelling expenses are probably insignificant (23 coach trips) and that the extra income from away fans with shorter journeys is also probably insignificant in the grand scheme of things.
Ron - you can get the details from the Official Website -->Fixtures & Results --> Fixtures List The main page just shows the attendance - but the match reports generally do show the away fans at the end of the report.
Ron - whilst on the subject, it is something I have been vocal about for a long time that the leagues should be restructured, although maybe slightly different to what I think you might be suggesting: Championship League One League Two (South) incorporating Conference Premier League Two (North) incorporating Conference Premier
not a fan of the league restructuring for wycombe - means we may lose local-ish trips to northampton, burton & walsall and be left with more long-distance south coast ones
Exactly what I was thinking. But as Jose says this could end up with losing out on shortish trips to Northampton etc.
Who says we would be in the south take a look at the Blue Square Bet North with Brackley and Oxford City and why has BBC News South dropped Wycombe from their sports reports while the franchise are still on it!
BBC hate us!!! BBC south have nothing to do with us, BBC 3CR only notices our existance when we play franchise or when its a slow news day (after our -0 win against dagenham they spend more time taking about stevenage and thier chances of promotion, despite the fact thier game had been called off!)
