I agree, it's only 4 Saints games without a goal. He's still an outstanding player, and I've got no doubt he is a huge influence and motivator throughout the squad on match days.

Well, four this season, sure. Then one in seven before that. One goal in his last 16 from open play. I think doubts about how he fits in Pochettino's system are pretty valid.

Bumped. Have to admit I was wrong. He was outstanding yesterday and ran his heart out for the full 90 mins! Keep that up and Roy will come calling!

Lamballana, you humble man!

What impressed me on Sunday was not just his attacking play, but his defensive work. An outstanding display. Greedy, I know, but more please!

This performance shouldn't be a surprise to anyone, Lallana has been excellent this season - an assist in each of his last games before this one and good displays in terms of effort and quality. I hate it when people write him off, he will always try his hardest for the team and he has a lot of talent.

When Mauricio was praising Adam for his ability and character, he also said how much passion Adam has for Southampton. We all knew that, but great to hear. A player who truly loves his club is rarer than you might think.

These articles always amuse me. In order for Saints to become as successful as so-called glamour clubs they need to keep hold of their stars. So why on Earth should Saints part with a major player for them and hold up their own charge up the league..? The media really do seem to want to keep the status quo, when in actual fact, all the genuine excitement comes from real competition. We should be getting more articles about how clubs can topple those at the top, not the other way round.

The writer in question mixed up "affect" and "effect" too. Unforgivable.

Also:

"suceed"

"kick-on" - why the hyphen?

"take note at" - of

"How often do we see a technically gifted English midfielder, too many players to have broken through the ranks have pace and not a lot else" - punctuation all over the place

"quell the fans anger" - needs apostrophe

"i'm" - needs caps

"plan b" - needs caps

Dear god, that's badly-written. In addition to the things noted above, you have this disaster:

Lallana can mix it up. He can cross- he has to in a team with Rickie Lambert, he still has enough pace, he has tricks and skills and most importantly- he is unpredictable.

INTERPOLATION DOES NOT WORK THAT WAY

Also note the use of colons and semicolons.

In my opinion, Manchester City should: Arsenal are overrun with creativity in those positions, as are Chelsea, while Manchester United probably need a higher profile signing to quell the fans anger.

City have always been regarded as fine in that area but i'm not so sure; Jesus Navas hasn't settled to the style of the Premier League yet, Samir Nasri can be incredibly frustrating and David Silva has gone a little off the boil.

First colon should probably just be a full stop. Semicolon in second paragraph should be a colon. Get it together, man.
