"I don't mind what team I play for as long as it's for Liverpool" .(Adam Morgan) With plenty of attention being focused on the newest additions to Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool squad, one player also looking to make a name for himself at Anfield next season is promising academy product Adam Morgan. The young striker, dubbed the 'next Robbie Fowler' has been making waves in the youth set-up, scoring 21 goals for the Reds' Under 18s before heading off to play for England in the Under 17 World Cup in Mexico. Since returning to Merseyside, Morgan has continued his rich vein of form with four goals already in just two pre-season friendlies, including a brace in a Liverpool XI's 7-0 drubbing of Preston North End on Wednesday. http://www.givemefootball.com/premier-league/reds-preparing-to-unleash-the-next-robbie-fowler
I just hope he's not the ''New Neil Mellor'' or ''Kristian Nemeth'',Both scored sack loads at youth and reserves but struggled to progress beyond that. Robbie and Judas at young ages took the transition like a duck to water,Robbie was 18 and Judas was 17.
You will put too much pressure on the lad if you call him the 'New Fowler' Let him develop without putting added pressure on his shoulders.
We all know that his name is not Fowler-the article is only trying to imply that he is going to be good as Fowler. Can't you understand.?
I'm not too sure what to make of him to be honest, he's definitely consistent which is good in a striker but as far as I can see he doesn't have anything that makes him distinctive to any other striker e.g. Carroll with his height, Torres with his pace, Suarez with his skill.... I suppose the only way he can be likened to Fowler is that he can get himself into positions to score very well.
He's a hope. Definitely got a nose for goal. Seen it in other players without exceptional talent. Hernandez, for example.
know what you mean, whenever I have watched him I have be completely unimpressed and then he scores! He does seem to have that priceless knack of being in right place at right time but will he be able to against better defenders?
if, as everyone on here seems to, you saw and appreciated fowler in his pomp you'd know he had an absolutely perfect technique when it came to shooting off his left and he actually had pace too. His ability to get into positions was as good as rush ever was as well. Morgan.... sorry but he doesn't have the pace to distingush himself and I must say he's on a par iwht quite a few othe rpromising kids in the same position i've seen. Much depends on how he kicks on. Example of what i mean; dalla valle, now that boy was spectacular at u18 level and rightly or wrongly when he hit the reserves and john mcmahon he stalled. next thing we know he's a makeweight in the disasterous konchesky deal. I think dalla valle looked just as good if not better then morgan.... HOWEVER, if morgan improves with age he could make it. Some guys get better and better as the grade improves and soem guys start out mega and don't move on. We'll see, my opinion is not the new fowler but a decent young player with a chance.
Nemeth your joking, rafa the disaster never gave him a chance, you cant judge him, just like pacheco never given a chance
Agree with you There is already pressure on these young players without adding more on them As for him making the top grade Time will tell
