Hello lads, NUFC fan in peace. I live in a little village in the North-East and Adam Mitchell lives there too. Just wondered how is getting on for any of you that watch the youth / reserve games? I think he has just recently signed a new contract. I'm hoping he does well for you lot anyway.

    Sheffield United U-18s 1 Sunderland U-18s 2
by Neville PilkingtonApr 25 2011Add a commentRecommend A LATE double from Billy Knott helped Sunderland to make it three consecutive wins in six days to maintain their title bid against Sheffield United.

Sunderland dominated but wasn’t until 10 minutes before the end that they broke through to take the lead.

Adam Mitchell cut in from the left and crossed for Knott to head home.

United headed an equaliser with only two minutes left. But in the 90th minute, the Black Cats grabbed the winner.

A free kick was awarded on the edge of the box and Knott stepped up to claim his second goal, curling in a stunning shot into the top corner.

Coach Kevin Ball said: “We could have started at lot quicker but eventually got into our stride and deserved another win.”

SUNDERLAND UNDER-18s: King; Oliver (Marrs 75), Laing, Lavender, Watson, N Wilson (Gorrin 56), Elliott, Lynch, Knott, Brace (Mitchell 56), Laidler.
