If Adam Johnson is to leave Citeh on loan/or perm, I cant see why we shouldn't go in for him.

Would be perfect for us on that right hand side since JB has gone.

    Just a thought.

If he ends up going to some other mid table team on loan instead of us I will be very disappointed. He's class.

Id take him in a heartbeat, I cant see City letting him go though to be honest now that Weiss and SWP both seem to be on their way out.

Nah I think he's a Mackem and if we did release him it must have been early on because he spent a lot of time at the boro academy <ok>

Would love him, he could do with a move in my opinion but will be highly unlikely. He'll just have to bide his time behind Nasri, Silva and co I'd imagine. SWP and Weiss are the likely wing cover to leave.

I've always wanted him here since he fell from favour at Citeh. One of, if not the best, wingers in the Prem.

Infact i just remembered this interview after the man city match last season....they asked him if the goal he scored against us was more special because he supported sunderland which he quickly denied saying he used to support us but man city was his team now (as they have too)...so he defo isnt a mackem supporter

Why do people keep mentioning wages?

We have a £50k cap, if he's not in City's squad they'd rather get £2.5m over the course of a year and have him playing regular Premier League football. Cardiff didn't pay Bellamy's wages last year and I bet City are still paying some of Adebayor's. They've signed all these players on such ridiculous wages that they can't get rid of them permanently, I'm sure they're open to sending them out to recoup just a little bit of it.

As for Johnson, I think he'd be a excellent signing. He's a genuine goal threat when he plays on the right and as we're struggling for a decent striker he'd certainly be worth a loan enquiry.

Yes but we won't be able to buy him after the loan due to wages so whats the point it would be unsettling if he did well

I can't stand threads like this.

If there's been no recent links and no new news, why make a thread just to give your opinion that he could be a good signing? It just gets everyone's hopes up when they see the thread title and ultimately serves no purpose.

I wouldn't mind so much if it was some unknown player we haven't thought of before, but christ, 99.9% of mags already know that Adam Johnson would be a good signing.
