Pleading guilty might help him but yes probably the end of his career for a while and of course he won't be able to do coaching etc afterwards.
He will get about 2-3 years then maybe maybe play in China . Im sure he has more than he needs in the way of cash to see him though . And then i think he can draw his pension at 35
i dont know the age of the children but there are some parts of the world that it would not be looked on as that bad .so he could be heading for the far east
Some interesting points being made on another forum, in some European countries the legal age of consent is 14, in others it is 15, yet in this country it is 16 even though the age of criminal responsibility is 10, (12 in Scotland), so you can tell right from wrong at 10 but not considered old enough to give consent to sexual activity!
That is probs why he will not get a long prison sentence.... he will be punished as he 'groomed' the girl.... example made etc

His messages have been released as evidence, he was fully aware of her age and still pushed for it. I know the law behind the age of consent is a bit silly but he still knowingly broke it. He's lost a lot of money and will now be shamed for life. The man's an idiot...

He will also be put on the sex offenders' list for life. I know of someone that that happened to and it blighted his job opportunities. In his case it was so unfair. He had sex with his girlfriend when she was 15 years and 11 months and he was 16 years 1 month, but the law did not provide any leeway.
Yes so true... and an arbitrary line in the sand. i worked with the family of a 17 year old boy who got done for something similar.... it ruined their lives, his life and the girl's life too. I dont prejudge that what AJ has done is against the law... but for it to be reported in open court, even though the girl was on a video link... is awful. There must be so many girls and celeb icons in similar positions... I grew up in the 60s and some girls clamoured to be near the rock stars... throwing their underwear on stage etc. I am working with a case at the moment and it is heart rending.... the man must pay the price .... but the damage to the family is awful
