He is getting better every game. His class is shining through. Great pass for the opening goal. He is linking well with catts and fletcher.

Sess' was bloody awful but it was a cracking goal!

I think we are improving, this hopefully is a massive confidence boost. Fulham looked a lot fitter than us. Catts form is great he is looking the business for me. Thought Colback was anonymous.

West Brom next. Bloody tough game. They are looking great. How at the lads.

NoMoreGeordies really needs to retract the defamatory crap he was spouting about the lad.

Delighted to see him pushing on.

Colback needs to be pushed back to the bench for me. Just doesn't offer all that much.

Couple of misplaced passes from Sess made him awful?
Him and Catts were grafting away the whole game.

Fletcher made some **** passes too.
Doesn't mean he was crap though. :p

I said the other day you can see AJ's coming back to form and to top fitness.
AFter that game his confidence will be high too.

Johnson was finding his feet in the first few months, getting used to playing a full game, and in a team that isn't going to have anywhere near as much possession and attacking threat as Man City. He's too good a player to underperform for very long, and in the last few games we've been seeing signs of that.

I'll agree sess' grafted but he's in the team to create. His final pass was shocking. However he pulled it back with a cracking goal and an important goal. Mcclean looks better coming off the bench.

Should we keep Johnson on the left?

Do what we did today start him on the left then use McClean as an impact it seems to have worked today.

I have been one of McC's defenders, but I still think a few games in the reserves will help him more than as a sub.
A couple of times he dribbled himself before the defender was even near him.
    He needs to calm down.

At least somebody watched the same game as me!

Sess was very decent, and ran 3 marathons!

Seems if he doesn't have possession for 87% of the game, make 2 score 1 everyone says he's had a stinker.

Still easily our best player, and he & AJ are really starting to show signs.

Colback had an off-game, think it's cos he was ill beforehand, was quite sloppy towards the end, same team next week with Gards in for Colback IMO.
