If the unwashed bow out of the top flight he may well be on the move I reckon.

I know it's a moot point anyway cos even if he did come here, assuming we went for him...he'd no doubt be pardewed in a matter of months and be reduced to a shadow of his former self.

I'd have him though. Gives 110% every game, chases balls and hassles the **** out of defenders and he's decent at set plays as well.

Always plays well against us as well so if we can nab him from under the noses of other prem teams it might save us a few points !

    Are there 2 Adam Johnsons?

When on form, he's a class player, don't expect him to do a lot of ball chasing mind.

He'll be off somewhere, why not, you lot.

I wanted him a while back before he went there, now I'd have serious reservations. I bang on and on about English homegrown players so it flies in the face a little to say I'm not that keen. He is certainly capable and when he is interested, does his share of the work then he looks a good player to have. However he just seems to do it in bursts when the mood takes him. He is better than HBA in that e does have spells where he is willing, but I still think there must be players out there who give you the whole package. Certainly the rest of the top 10 have found these players.

    I don't want any of their f**king rejects here. I'd rather have f**king Shola...maybe.

Post that on a Sunderland forum and I guarantee they'll laugh at you.

A very average player! HBA is much better and if he was given more freedom (and time on the pitch) he would show this more consistently

Nah he's ****e. Why don't we just get rid of HBA, not buy Johnson, and buy some good players who are professional and try.

Were there not rumours of an alcohol problem with Johnson too?

He's been struggling to get into the worst team in the division, namely Sunderland, and when he does start (like at Spurs), he is utterly ineffective!

    That'll be a NO then :)
