He held his own for the second half of last season and a few Norwich fans (myself included) were surprised how well he took to it being alot older and having a string of injuries since we were last in the Prem. Top defender, one on one against a winger he is brilliant and also a great professional. You have a decent player on your hands, look after him (Y)
Out of left field that one! Good look to him, top pro and well liked here as we all know. I hope he does a good job there.
He's not the quickest full back in the world, but his positional sense is very good. Solid player in the Championship, and if he can stay injury free, he will do well.
between 2001 and 2008 he was easily the best left back outside the premier division. injuries have hampered him since then but last season showed that he still has that class and he more than held his own in the premier league. if leeds can keep him fit they've got themselves an outstanding left back who can still cut the mustard.
I am feel more crap about this then Lambert and Holt leaving, he done the best thing for him though. NCFC Legend
Definitely mate - a grafter for sure. Has had a few injury knocks but reads the game well. Mr reliable in many ways. I am gutted he's gone, but may be someone coming our way from you guys? Thoughts on that?
If Holt can't get a 3 year contract at 31 imagine Drury has gone to Leeds for a two year contract. If the board are being consistent the most they would have offered is one year. Might get a good signing on bonus as well. Does this end the Feeds United jokes or is Snodgrass coming the other way.
I have read the snipets from Warnock and I would have thought we would have someone coming the other way, maybe Aiden White but he plays left back I believe and it sounds like Warnock has brought Drury in to tie that position up between them. We must have someone in mind especially with how much Tierney was injured last season. Any ideas anyone? Am i right in thinking Drury was out of contract so we would have been in any negotiations with Leeds as a club?
Gutted to be seeing him go, absolute legend to our club. Seems like he's been with us forever, and now he's gone :-(!
it really will be a new era at carrow road next season! many thanks to drury for all he has given to the club. a truly great servant
