League Cup Semi Final 2nd Leg, 21st January 1976 A bit of nostalgia for some of us long standing fans. I know there were a few of us there that night. I was in the Leazes End. Apparently, the video link (which will only work on YouTube) is the only known footage. This is the first time, I've seen the goals since that night. Only 36secs long, but worth it.
I was also in the Leazes end to the left of the goal as you see fromt stand about 20ft from the front hanging onto the orange 'police fence' looking at the video I must of been behind that guy with the flag can't remember him though
Was there. In the Gallowgate Corner. Glen Keeley brings back memories as well. Remember him scoring a cracking goal away to Middlesbrough...pity it was in our net!!!
I was in the Leazes that night as well in my usual place at the back! Fantastic night and my first visit to Wembley followed. Went to most of the FA cup run in 74 and couldn't get a ticket for the final. WBA in the 5th round was my favourite game ever. At least 20k black and whites at the Hawthorns. Absolutely magical!
I was there that night in the Leazes end about two thirds of the way back just right of the goal. Great night.
