I've avoided this Forum for some days, and I see the original thread has now been closed.
I skimmed over the most recent contributions on that thread, and feel the need need to respond.

Firstly, let me repeat that the original posts that caused some individuals to go after me were NOT motivated by racism,
Anyone with racist tendencies would,a)not go to live in a black country,b)not marry a black female, and c)not live on a day to day basis with black people.
I was merely giving a typical day in the life of black males of my acquaintance, whom I have,a) lived with, and b) witnessed on A DAY TO DAY basis at different locations, and, having lived in a black African country for seventeen years,my experience was considerable.

Now,I was accused of generalising, and had I inserted the word "some" into my initial post, there wouldn't have been any outcry.
But outcry there was,and it came initially from a Ghanaian poster,Kwame, who took me to task, and at one point called me a "liar",i.e. rubbishing my experience.
After re reading my initial post,I could see where he was coming from, and I duly apologised to him for not having been more specific.
PM's were exchanged between Kwame and I,and all was resolved.
Kwame, even posted a few times, graciously apologising for having overreacted to my post.

The matter should have ended there, but some wanted it to continue, with me as their target.

One poster in particular, would have you believe that I apologised for having made racist comments, well, that is just not true.
He has even dug back in time trying to produce some evidence to justify his actions, but it hasn't worked, and posts from others clearly indicate that to be so.

This whole business has been blown out of all proportion, and it highlights the fact that a word omitted;a comma or full stop in the wrong place,or a simple spelling mistake, can lead to complete mayhem.
