We're in great form and need to notch as many points on the board as possible before that Bolton, Barnsley, Derby stretch of games. Comfortable 2-0 win for us today.
assuming we will win. what will be the best result between Plymouth & Derby for us ? I feel a Derby win is a must for us to catch up with Plymouth. (also, why are Wednesday not playing tonight ?)
Agree about a Derby win,if we keep winning we don't need to worry what the teams below us do so it's more important Plymouth (or Wednesday)lose.
Yeah, a Derby win against Plymouth would be the best case scenario as Derby have dropped points recently, so they're not as close on our heels as before. We really need Plymouth or Wednesday to go through a bad patch, particularly as I'd be massively surprised if we got 6-to-9 points against Bolton, Barnsley, and Derby (all of whom we play away from home!)
Wednesday do have an interesting set of games coming up...there next three are pompey, Barnsley and Bolton. If for some miracle they drop 5-6 points, then you just never know
I wouldnt be surprised if Derby fight for a draw tonight. They need it to sustain their hopes, and Plymouth who havnt been too convincing lately, can feel our breath on their backs!
Interesting to note that Plymouth do have back to back games against Derby and Barnsley this week, which are tough matches. But their run in after that looks fairly reasonable on paper with a lot of teams in the bottom half of the table.
At the end of the day we just need to mind our business, take each game as it comes. We have the depth and talent to escape this league.
Plymouth won't win tonight!! Re Sheffield Wednesday not playing....i don't understand it, they have a game in hand and they are not playing midweek, this or next week!! They may end up with a fixture pile up!!
Decent looking team, not sure why he has changed the right side but both coming in can do a job there, would have preferred Clarke over Janoi as think Donacian is a weak link but maybe Clarke had a knock. Jackass has looked good when playing wide right, so not too fussed there.
Same not sure why the changes have been made. Think this is going to be a challenge as I reckon this will be the first team in a while who will sit deep on us. I'll go for a labored 1-0 win with Harness coming on to score the winner
