Well as results go I expect most would have taken a point before the match....but listening to John Sheridan on the GoS match summary you couldn't help but notice that he was fuming that they didn't defend their 1-0 advantage to the end. Maybe it would of been unfair seeing that Accrington deserved no less than a draw from this one.... goals win games not possession or dominance,so taking the lead was an encouraging start but we needed a second and it didn't come. Reid is certainly earning his crust each week and scored a great strikers goal to put Argyle one up against the run of play so it seems. He is certainly working hard and doesn't shirk his defensive roll either,he also doesn't easily pick up injuries....I don't know what we would do without him playing every week. Sheridan has got to quickly decide who his striking partner is....with Alessandra out for most of the normal season it is vital that we find a replacement up front who can work with Reid and score the odd goal or two. I expect that terrible pitch would have been a killer for Wotton's legs yesterday and might have been why he didn't play.....lets hope that he gets a chance on better pitches....although Newport's quagmire won't be one of them. So on to Tuesday and no slip ups against Exeter....who must of been encouraged winning their first home game for months and doing us a favour by beating Fleetwood....Morecambe & Southend both picked a point up.....but York are still flying winning yet again at Portsmouth....to get in the play-offs we might need to peg back either Morecambe or Fleetwood who are both struggling to pick-up points.
Training will be interesting this morning http://www.westernmorningnews.co.uk...il-hold-lead/story-20843164-detail/story.html http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/26713896
What was Hourihane doing or Cole...... don't they get involved at a time like that .....or anyone else ? At the Dag & Red game that I went to....their goalkeeper did my head in during the first half....standing on the edge of his penalty area shouting at the top of his voice all the time non-stop when they where on the attack....he must of been 50yds away......even in the second half I could hear him down the other end bellowing out orders.
