Jol has made a £1.4m bid to Porto for defender Miguel Lopes and West ham have offered us Carlton Cole. Any thoughts on these two?
Only from wikipedia I would say yes to Miguel Lopes due to age and teams he has played for. Carlton Cole may be if the price is right.
i have never liked Cole, i dont think he is much better then AJ like gerascores he frustrates me aswell, Lopes sounds an interesting player, i just think at the moment we are getting connected to everybody, is this lazy journilism or actually something they know lol,
I'd take Cole as a backup to Bobby, but only if he slashes his wage demands and is happy to sit on the bench.
Quite right, Bidley, but I don't see it happening. As for the latest in our conveyor belt of potential right backs, add him to the list - it's hard to evaluate which option we should go for when they are mostly players I've never seen or even heard of until we were linked with them. I like the sound of the French lad, but most of all I just want us to sign a new right back!
Don't we keep getting linked with Carlton Cole? Seems like lazy journalism to me, but then I thought that about Riise! This looks more interesting: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...-bid-Fulham-Bryan-Ruiz.html?ito=feeds-newsxml
The Mail says that he's a winger. When I first read that I wondered if it could mean Dempsey's on his way. Apparently he usually plays as a striker for Twente, though, so presumably he'd play off Bobby and we'd keep Clint on the left. Looks like there's plenty of competition for him, and I'm a bit skeptical that MAF would stump up £13m for one player.
