Next season there's no guarantee of Ade, so we have a potential front line of JD and Saha, throw in Lennon, VdV and Modric, only Bale adds attacking height.

As for set pieces I'm more worried about the person taking them beating the first man or the wall from corners and free kicks rather than the striker being good in the air.

How many headers has Adebayor scored for us this season btw?

Rossi is a no brainer for me but I don't think he will choose us.

All Darren Bent does is score goals and I certainly wouldn't want him back.
Rossi seems like a more complete player to me though and I'm pretty sure that he's capable of playing in our current system.

Nope, he hasn't played since October. Last season I thought he was fantastic and would be ideal for our team but the price was way OTT. Unless they're planning on letting us have him for under £20mill I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole until he's shown he's fully back from injury, which may be in the Euros.

Putting the Injury aside YV, it goes to show just how much they've missed him. their currently sat 5th from bottom. 3 previous seasons they have finished 4th, 7th and 5th.

if the £10 mill price tag in that report were to be true, that could well be good business. (as long at the injury gives no long term affects, of course)

Nilmar's been injured a lot too and losing Cazorla has left them light in attack. Villareal always seem to have high paid players in a small squad which makes them vulnerable to a lot of injuries which can ruin them.

Didn't read the report but £10mill would be a bargain, I doubt they have the figure right though. If it was, Barca would definitely be back in for him. Villareal will be hoping Rossi plays in the Euros and bumps up his value.

I see how you read it now, I thought as we were talking about a striker, it followed I was referring to the set pieces at that end. Totally agree with you on Ade, all I can think about is those 2 headers he scored against us for Real, amongst many others, so I'm baffled he's not got on the end of anything. I wasn't taking anything away from Rossi either, I'd swap him for JD tomorrow, massive trade up, but my concern up top if Ade doesn't sign is a severe lack of a target man...you're not an idiot either!
