The past few years we have been prone to a so-so start to the new season. Least we forget about Roy's "Judge me after 10 games" that turned into "judge me by Christmas" then "judge me when I have a chance in the market". With all of that behind us, fresh faces brought in, the team on the up, confidence around the camp this can be important year, what to you is an acceptable start to the season? List of game from August to September in order and venue: Sunderland (H) Arsenal (A) - note, it is about time we won a game at the emirates mind! Bolton (H) Stoke City (A)- always a banana peel for us Tottenham (A) Wolves (H) Not too bad a schedule but definetaly some games that can go either way. So for you, what is an acceptable point total for the start of the season?
Sunderland (H) - 3 points. Arsenal (A) - 1 point. Bolton (H) - 3 points. Stoke City (A) - 3 points. Tottenham (A) - 1 point. Wolves (H) - 3 points. That leaves us with 14 points. I feel we might draw against Stoke but i've gone for win. If we were to draw with Stoke, that leaves us with 12 points.
Lol Arsenal have got a better team than you. And you can't really predict like that. For all you know, you could lose to wolves and win at Arsenal. But at the end of the season, i don't think you'll be in a champions league place. Chelsea, Man city, Man united, even Arsenal have got better quality players than you.
Sunderland (H) - 3 points. Arsenal (A) - 3 point. Bolton (H) - 1 points. Stoke City (A) - 3 points. Tottenham (A) - 0 point. Wolves (H) - 3 points. 13 for me, can easily flip flop the arsenal and tottenham results. I can see a draw at stoke, i can also see a draw at Arsenal and Tottenham. This would be my rose-tinted version. could easily be Sunderland (H) - 3 points. Arsenal (A) - 1 point. Bolton (H) - 3 points. Stoke City (A) - 1 points. Tottenham (A) - 1 point. Wolves (H) - 3 points. 12 points.
10 points would be the acceptable target for me. Win all of our home games and 1 point from the away games as they are so hard.
So you laughed at his Arsenal prediction but then say it is unpredictable? Contradiction. This is what is acceptable start, not what will actually happen, just what you think will happen for a start to the season we are OK with
I think Bolton could be a win, but then again how is their form right now? We know we have problems with Stoke and Arsenal we just seem to be a different team everytime we step out onto the emirates pitch...
We did get 1-1 draws in both games against Arsenal last season and we have strengthened the team in this transfer window.
With all the new boys I really think it will take pool 5/6 games to gel. Same with us so : Sunderland 1-1 Arsenal 1-2 Bolton 2-0 Stoke 0-1 (maybe draw) Spurs 1-2 (maybe draw) Wolves 3-1 Sorry 7 points (max 9)
I can see all of that, but I would expect more than 7, if we won at stoke and put us up to 10 that I could be OK with, not exactly what I want but not too bad.
Sunderland (H) - 3 points. Arsenal (A) - 3 points. Bolton (H) - 3 points. Stoke City (A) - 1 point. Tottenham (A) - 3 points. Wolves (H) - 3 points. Drop 2 points away at Stoke for me
16, ambitious..... I like it though! btw, still in rep jail trying to break out, need morgan freeman though.
Sunderland (H) - 3 points. Arsenal (A) - 3 points. Bolton (H) - 3 points. Stoke City (A) - 3 points. Tottenham (A) - 3 points. Wolves (H) - 3 points. It's going to be great!
Hmm, upon looking at these games in August and September we do have a bit of tricky start. It doesn't look that hard, but it really does give me a sense of ease either.
I can see Stoke slipping us up. I don't think Arsenal or Spurs will have much to offer. The buzz to the new season and our new squad, managers etc will see us past Arsenal and Spurs Bit optimistic, but that's just me! Still in jail now... i wanna give you 5 points you need
The whole point of a prediction is that you don't know what is happening for sure. This is a bit of fun, which makes you are an absolute moron.
