Good article interesting what he says about Frei, I still believe he had the attributes to be a very special player and still might be.
The youngsters are one reason I would like Meulensteen to stay no matter what happens this season, he obviously looks towards the youth team and wants to bring them on, he also bought two more youngsters in Cole and Tunicliffe who could be decent players if we stay up but also very good players if we do go down and want to try and go straight back up.
I honestly believe no matter whatever division we are in next year Rene will have a youthful team who he will get to try and pass the ball about, I'm looking forward to it

    love it!

Things that go on behind closed doors. 4th in an indoor tournament in Germany, winners of a cup in Dallas last year, top of U21 league.
The futures bright, the futures black and white!

If possible it would be nice if some of our 606rs could watch the occasional youth team game, then one
could see at first hand the reason for Cottager and myself being so enthusiastic about our youngsters.

I've seen an occasional youth team game and I fully endorse what Ros says. I can only hope they continue to play with that confidence as we start integrating them into the first team.

Just following up rosc's post Craving. Entrance to the games is normally restricted to season ticket holders but if you email the Club to request permission they usually oblige. Used to be best to contact Tom Guthrie directly but he left in the transfer window so [email protected] should be okay.

You can also check game times etc on the Club website; click on Players then U21s or U18s then Fixtures

Any chance of him stepping up to become first team manager in 5 years?
