Under the tutelage of Huw Jennings our Academy has linked up with a Football Training School in New Zealand. Basically the plan is for some our youth coaches to go out there to do some scouting and at intervals a couple of their promising youngsters to come to this country and join in training sessions at Motspur Park.

We've done this at least once before - although for the life of me can't remember who with. And equally don't recall any of the 'trialists' getting something more permanent. However, from experience New Zealand folk are nuts about sport and even better, play it in the right spirit; you only have to look to last year's NZ cricket team for a perfect example. As a country they've also produce some fine athletes over the years, so who knows.

Whatever, this initiative will help spread awareness in 'Brand Fulham'. Where next? China?
